[GATES] Fungah? More Like Dumbgah. . .

Please make this GATE more engaging SE. As it stands, I queue up for this GATE and go AFK in a random spot because you have just as good of a chance of winning AFK as you do running around in a circle. The overall consensus among players and the bitching that ensues (myself included) is that this GATE is plain unfun.

Could you please redesign this GATE to at least have some sort of reflex test? Perhaps quickly match a dodging motion on the screen to avoid being hit or perhaps a visual roulette during the run around timer on the ground to guess where it's going to go?

The only time I've won this event was when outer ring was selected at random 4 times in a row, which to say the least is dumb luck. I don't want to win every time, the payout is great. I want to have FUN every time rather than step away from my screen, which IMO is the absolute worst thing a game can make any player want to do.

It should be like titan EX+ 2nd boss in Darkhold but speed up the casttimer 2x. Now the achievement would actually be an Achievement!

I wouldn't mind if it at least gave a reward based on how many you dodge instead of 1-4 = 0 and 5 = 1600.

I think it was intended to be sort of pure luck, like a psuedo game of russian roulette that you can run around during.

However, no matter the intent, I do agree that it could be greatly improved by having the potential aoe areas light up and be quickly cycled through in a number of set patterns, so players could try to learn the patterns and position themselves properly, but the speed of the cycling makes it still a bit challenging even if you recognize the pattern, thus changing it from a game of pure chance to a game of skill with elements of luck.

In addition to the improved mechanics and fun factor, doing this would also create the potential for a cool visual upgrade to the event and area it takes place at. The arena floor could be retextured to look sort of like a disco light up floor with the floor light panels matching up with the aoe areas. Then when the aoe markers are cycling it would overlap with the floor light panels in the texture and make it look like the panels are lighting up. I feel this would be a really fun and immersive visual effect that would fit great with the GS casino style and would help give that GATE a bit more visual Oomph and style.

Exactly what I was thinking. I want to know that when I lose, it's because I made a mistake; not lack of clairvoyance. At this point, the only reason I'm even bothering to enter is because of achievements I guess.

They could include elements of the Hildibrand fight too, starts out simple sneezes in the air to the ground blowing people off (weight of the land), then he starts to spin around in circles while another starts to barrage the area maybe little baby Fungahs lol.

Perhaps some mechanics that can be calculated but are less known, like he marks the ground to body slam and then continues from that point forward bouncing and smashing players off - the consecutive moves are not marked on the ground but you could reasonably predict movement. Random enough to not necessarily be memorized but controlled enough to be fun, I agree the feeling that going AFK is just as well as running around is.. meh.
