Chocobo Races TOO OP! Question for Ya'll though!

I think I would be happy if they added lag-free gameplay. I miss 50% of the chests when I play and sometimes it will change the outcome of the game.
I am not surprised though, SE always messes up with things I look forward to.

You guys complain about different abilities, you should be happy if you can even pick them up.

I know im not the only one lagging though as I sometimes see that the players behind me miss the same chests as me (especially those jumping ones, its so weird to see 3 players behind all jumping and no one gets the chest cause of the ~5 sec jump delay)

Big Question

Has anyone got to R-500 ? Someone on reddit claimed he got to it and tracks were much huger being up to 15 minutes to complete. He never really responded so troll chance seems to be high but who really knows. I been concerned with the small tracks seeing stamina playing smaller and smaller role as stats go higher and higher. So I really want to know if we indeed get bigger maps at higher brackets.

Chocobo racing has been available for about 2 days now, it takes roughly 8-12 hours to get a rank 40 chocobo required for breeding you would then need to do that over quite a number of times to get to a rating of 500. You also need to wait 6 hours when you breed before your new chocobo is born. I'm quite happy to say that it would be physically impossible to get to the R-500 bracket in two days.

Yep that would be a pretty fair assessment assuming Bracket progression continues like it has. Or perhaps it takes a huge leap from R-100 to R-500. I certainly wouldnt say thats impossible. Especially sense Around Rating 70-100 is where you be regularly retiring chocobos at. So perhaps 100-500 will be a huge grinding spot for racer. It make sense in a way. Even after two days you seen the effect of having so many brackets. Most people in R-100 have never seen a fellow racer at all.

Nah I'd say give us a battle race as an alternative so you have both for the pure racers and for those that prefer a mix. Where you actually do get to have fun with weapons. But to make it even everyone gets a popoto cannon or something like it to fight.

I would like weekly tournaments with prizes.

You have 15mins to sign up before the first race kicks off.When the 15mins are up,player races start every 5mins until every signup has had a race.1st 2nd and 3rd of each race move into next round with a 15min lul.So it keeps going like that until it's whittled down to a final race.

Either there would have to be a max number that could sign up to make races even,or you'd have to fill some spots with npcs.

Could have a tournament board that's updated after every race so people can stare at it or...something.

I'd also like the higher ranked races with more mgp rewards,because triad blows chocobo racing out of the water in that respect with some npc opponents.

I'd like endurance races(so focusing on stam and endurance means something) with mgp scaled according to the races length.

What kind of prizes would you like to see ?

A idea would be A trophy with some stats of the race that can be consumed for some MGP (that can be sold on MB). This would double as a prize of honor for hardcore racers, a Alternative revenue for racers, way to bring more people into upper folds of racing, and a way for hardcore players to buy their way into Fenrir mount.

I dont feel purchasable MGP would affect Choco Racing to much sense you till have to raise each chocobo for breeding.

Tournament prizes would be one of an option of: trophy minion, trophy tabletop housing item, trophy standalone indoor housing item, trophy outdoor housing item, trophy wall plaque, trophy necklace, trophy bracelet, trophy ring, trophy crown, trophy barding(so everyone knows you the champ while racing them), trophy ticket(one time use MGS points 10k? 100k?), trophy vouchers(free runs of racing, mini games, TT games)

And this would be an option for each winner. Either weekly or monthly tournament. And of course first win nets you a title as well.

I like all these ideas (perhaps instead of a trophy ticket, each winner gets both a choice of their prize + some reasonable amount of MGP, maybe 10k, 100k, something, idk). I really do hope they eventually introduce racing tournaments, as I was rather disappointed to not see anything of the sort anywhere, whereas TT has one coming up in March. Much prefer racing to card games, honestly.
