does elemental materia have a point?

The only thing it is good for right now is pretty much to be transmuted into other kinds of materia. I have no idea if they were any good or not in 1.0 but they certainly aren't right now.

FTFY. Transmutation is far from 'good' and can, more often than not, just give you another elemental materia for your troubles. Converting 5 T4 earth materia into a T4 fire materia made me want to strangle a moogle. I wish they'd kill the randomness of transmutation, so that alike materia produce like identical results. After all, why would 5 battledance materia suddenly turn into a Quickarm materia? They're not even remotely close in ability or hue!

Mutamix will not give you back a materia you've given him.
So don't give him 5 of the same type. For example, give him an earth, fire, wind, water, vit. He should return some realm saving materia rather than something useless.
