Considering cheaper subscription/transfer for 6 of 7 characters

if they were all level 50 then I would say considering transferring might be worth it, but if your talking about level 10-30 alts. just delete them. Pick your favorite and just burn the rest. you'll never have time to do endgame and dailies on more than 2-3 each day anyway unless you have no outside life at all.

currently on my main, I do 6 beast men quests, 2-3 roulettes, and get / decipher / complete a map each day, and that usually takes about 2 hours. that times 7 characters.. 14-15 hours a day just doing dailies? O.O

There's no reason why someone would need to do all the "dailies" every day. In fact, it's fairly safe to assume that hardly anyone does. There are Roulette dailies, beast tribe dailies, hunt dailies, supply/provision dailies, daily quests, etc. Not to mention all the many many types of weeklies. You do the few that you personally happen to be most interested in at the moment, so your dailies and someone else's dailies may be completely different activities.

And there's no reason someone with multiple characters would need to play every one of them every day. I have multiple characters, and, although I may alternate between several of them when doing seasonal festival events, the rest of the time I only play one of them on any given day. Some may go for a couple months or more between periods where they get my primary focus. But they're each still separate, individual, and important characters.

I have reasons for having multiple characters, including different looks, characterization (who would choose which class/craft, idle stances, text colors), names, and other reasons. I'm not going to have each character do absolutely everything, but distribute things to them evenly. Some will do things others won't (etc. 2 out of the 7 won't go into Gold Sauce). And even though five characters are above lvl 20, I didn't mention the lvl 11 sub-classes they have. I can't just delete them like it's nothing.

I thought it over and I might not do the transfer. Since most people are fine with being stuck to one server, it probably isn't an issue. I just want to be able to see more players outside my server. It felt restricting to have 7 characters stuck to one place.

I'd only transfer them if need be. If you have friends on another server that you want to play with, it would be easier to send over an alt than to start from scratch, but otherwise you really have to just weigh the cost of transferring the characters against how much you'd be saving each month by going to an entry-level account. Sounds like that would take quite a while to pay for itself if ever, imo.

Sounds like you suffer from altitis, which sadly there is no cure for. Since all the different characters are relatively low level (take 2 days tops to get to level 15), you could just delete and re-create on another server for the other characters and only transfer 1. But, that's up to you.

If you're a new player and not very familiar with the job and class system in this game, before deciding to keep that many characters, please consider that you have to level at least 3 classes on a single character to be able to play a single job effectively on that character (for example to play White Mage, you will have to level Conjurer (50), but also Arcanist (34) and Thaumaturge (26) for your vital subclass abilities. To be able to craft high level crafts on a single crafting job, you will need to level all other to 50 as well. Similarly, if you have a level 50 class on a character, you will get bonus exp for leveling all the following ones. These are just examples on how leveling multiple classes on a single character is not only beneficial but also required. So if you decide to have several characters, be prepared to level several classes on each of them even if they would only focus on one.

Unfortunately not. You can only send mail to people on your friend list. And you can only add people to your list if they're online. Since you can't have 2 different characters online at the same time, you can't send anything.

No, unfortunately (despite frequent requests for it).
There are some workarounds. If your alts are members of the same Free Company, you might be able to use the FC chest as a temporary place to put something you want to transfer while you log in another alt to pick it up. (Don't leave stuff there for long, though, unless you know none of your other FC-mates would touch it.) If you have a friend you play with regularly and you trust them, you could ask them to pass something to your alt for you. And I've heard of some players posting an item for sale with one character, just to swap to another alt and buy it from themself. But yeah, there's no way to send something directly from one of your characters to another.

Well, some are, but generally only things like veteran rewards, CE bonuses, etc, that you get on an account basis. Any that are earned, bought, or made in-game by your character are limited to one character.
