Confused about covering chocobos...

Well, on the other hand I think it could be this way to prevent ppl from "renting" their Chocobos as breeding stallions for gil....

I would never consider this....I *never* had plans to do this exact thing with all pedigree levels, each one being more expensive than the last.... what cruel person would sell their chocobos ?

You can buy another one at bentbranch. But will it let you with one retired? Since im not quite high enough to do it yet. Wondering how many you are allowed to have retired at once. My plan is to get my first male to 40 and retire him. get a female to 40 and retire her then breed them.... But now im wondering what happens to the retired ones after breeding. do we just end up with a stable full of retired chocos for breeding? Can I mate the offspring with its parent? :/

You didn't waste it, put it up on a retainer and use it when You get that grade pedigree chocobo for your own

I think the G in G9 is not for grade, but for generation. The 9th generation.

retire your chocobo
then from the tack and feed merchant in chocobo square you can buy a covering permission slip
take the slip you recieved when you retired your choco
and the slip you bought
to the bentbranch meadows
talk to the covering lady and hand her both slips and confirm the process
it will take a day or two to breed
from there just pick up your new baby on the appointed day

i bought my choco a grade 9 covering lady and it worked perfectly baby choco son is being made as we speak

chocobo pimps lol i said this ages ago.. people will charge an arm and a leg to rent thier chocobos for breeding espiecaly at higher levels guarantee will be 10m+ to breed pedigree 8-9 lol

@Ulathskullsplitter yeah thats my plan aswell raise 2 of my own to 40 throw stats into speed, endurance, stamina on both til no training points left then breed them just to see what that stats are like
personally i think they are the most important stats imo

i dont know about renting chobos to breed tho will they have options with certain stats maxed etc?

I have retired my first Chocobo female and i have bought a male to breed her with (I bought a G2) was not sure. I am wondering if i begin to race a new chocobo will i still be able to pick up the baby when it is done and do we have a few choices of chocobo to race with? Example the baby one i will be getting and another one i registered while waiting?
