I hope they keep certain hairstyles exclusive to the races they were originally made for, to be honest. Let the slightly-less-than-half of the player population who aren't Miqo'te have some unique looks. :P

I got it and i gotta say kinda not worth it if ur mi'qo. Other races don't really have ponytail selections so it'll work out for them but mi'qo is just like wtf lol.

I wish the OP pic hairstyle was the one u get in GS. Not some hipster ponytail >_>

Uhh, no, the one in the OP is a 3.0 hairstyle and totally different from the new one introduced in 2.51. The patch notes said as much, and people clarified here when I asked that it's a 3.0 hairstyle.
