    I was thinking along the same lines (I think)... Basically, have them randomly spawn as an extra bonus objective. Perhaps at the end of the encounter... or maybe part way through. Leave it up to the player to decide if they have the time, or if it's worth the extra effort, etc.

    I will definitely agree with the OP, though. The standard leves we have now *seriously* could use some work. Take a page from Assault in XI. Those had some (mostly) fun objectives to meet and actually required some strategy to complete successfully. Ones like "Excavation Duty" weren't that great, as it was basically just destroying boulders and so it was all about having enough DD. However, others definitely required players to use their heads, devise and execute strategies to complete them. Assault falls perfectly in line with Leves as they, too, had time limits of 30 minutes or more, etc.

    I was chatting with a LS-mate earlier in-game while we were out xp'ing on regular world mobs, about how I would be perfectly content if leves were removed altogether (in their current form), they're so uninteresting to me. Of course, I would prefer they *improved* them instead, adding more variety, more types of goals... and for the love of Ralgr... cut back on the whole "oh the last mob is fleeing!" routine. In their current form, with how banal, repetitive and uninteresting they are (to me), I'd be a perfectly happy camper to avoid them altogether... if not for the guild points they award.

    So yeah.. I'm behind this OP topic 100% in terms of adding rare spawns, etc.. And in terms of taking the concept of leves even farther by adding new mission types, new objectives, different strategies, etc... The basic setup of Leves really opens them to so many different possibilities.

    I can not begin to tell you how much I despise the fleeing mob routine. I'd prefer if they just "called for help" to spawn the last bit of mobs and stayed put.
