Incapacitating New Monster/Skills Patch 1.18

Some items need to be incapacited to allow them to drop. Crab shells, skull eyepatches, and a few other examples.

Yeah i know I went and did these things with people and they said "just because you did incap and it drops doesn't mean anything we could of got it to drop without incap" which is true, it just takes a longer time. So everyone should be incapping always, and for the nms with 30 gear and such, i believe different incaps effect different gear pieces also. Not telling the person I quoted, just info for anyone who doesn't know, its just a belief going around.

Um no, you CAN NOT get crab shell without incap, Horns as well. Just last night I got a Horn off the Ogre in DarkHold though, guess we incap his head without checking and that might have something to do with him attempting Infernal Drop only a grand total 3 times throughout the 10 minutes fight.

That's pretty cool. I haven't gotten high enough to go with my linkshell to fight the ogre, but I have been speculating that you can disable/nerf their WS with incaps. It would be especially helpful for me as a PUG, since the preferred party setup is GLD CON CON CON ARC ARC ARC ARC. You can beat the bosses raw like that, but if incaps weaken certain WS, then close range melee will surely become more welcome in the raids.

Dunno about now but when skull eye patch first came out without incap the head it never drop, we got invited by some NA guys when we were 19-20 without con blow2 and we been farming for maybe 1 hr or something 0 drop. After getting con blow 2 (back then) it drop like hell made some good money off of that.
