I think I was just pointing out the sillyness of his argument that because he is straight, that male players should not express sexuality like female characters. Either his opinion is that male sexuality is terrifying to him, or that the world needs to cater to his preferences.

Because you get reviled by one, doesn't mean it doesn't work that way. A lot of that is tied into the cultural reinforcement that exterior male sexuality somehow minimizes your own masculinity. Thats not a natural construct and is not present in every culture.

Well I'm not saying the dudes can't wear a speedo, I'm merely saying that personally I don't like seeing it. Not like that's going to change anything. /shrug Either way people are going to put what they want on their characters, I'll just deal with it. I'm not going to jump down their throats and stuff just because their wearing something I don't personally like. That would be silly.

I have to admit, one huge reason I prefer skimpier glamours on my character is as commentary on female avatars doing the same or worse. Turns a few heads, gets the odd compliment from that shy, gay Roeg in the corner. It's also just kinda fun.

If you don't like what you see other characters wearing, think about how others might see your character. The guys with male characters basically get a pass, but the legion of male players with scantily-clad female avatars should think about things like this.
