By the way , i am a bit fuzzy on NM. do you mean doing it in a quest or just walking around killing Notorious Monsters?

Not in a quest. More just walking around killling Notorious Monsters. When it takes one hour for a good pty to defeat a single Notorious Monster, the SP reward should reflect that and reward enough SP to lvl a job at a resonable pace.
