Sorry to burst your own bubble but the vast majority of tanks that do harder content have something called a static, thus eliminating the need to queue for them. Hell even the vast majority of Healers and DPS for harder content have statics.

I can FARM PONIES easily and get this as a consolidation in which i did.

The hostility part. You were the one who started it.

Also touching on this since you went back and did multiple edits. All I asked was for a counter argument as to why this shouldn't be changed; that's hardly a hostile inquiry. Unless you've never done debate before, a counter argument is context from the opposing team suggesting why this feature should not be altered and remain as is.

Your counter response was far from valid. It didn't touch base on how better to alleviate low level, 4 man, story mode raid/dungeon queue times for those solo queuing when their friends are not available, nor did it propose any alternative to the problem that I brought up.

Duty roulette were the solution to alleviate queue times for low level 4 man, story mode and etc

Your suggestion causes problem at the end/ harder content.

This title was for hard contents where SE is trying to encourage to play as tanks.
Static is not a solution made by SE.
It was community made for progression purposes.

With the introduction of relic progression, tanks had to revisit old contents to get relic sorted which was an indirect solution to queue times.

Whilst I agree and note this problem, the suggestion you provide is not the answer especially for those who max tank jobs.

But then they turn it around and make these achievements only for tanks who currently have statics thus rewarding those who are already tanks and not helping to create any new ones. This was supposed to be Square's way of creating new tanks instead they smacked all potential tanks in the face with a big fat "No, sorry you must be this geared to achieve."

Who has two thumbs, not in an FC, not in a static, didn't need the mounts to create and play both tanks, never cleared Turn 5 or Titan Extreme, but at least I was another tank to help with Garuda Extreme and Turns 1, 2 and 4 when farming runs, and has both the Lion and Bear?

Whilst I agree and note this problem, the suggestion you provide is not the answer.

Yet who is to say that the tanks with progression statics also do not use them as well to do Extreme Primals and old coil runs for ticks on the achievement; which currently count?

The current relic progression does not solve the issue with a lack of tanks entirely as I believe only the level 50 dungeons count towards the current relic progression thus eliminating tanks from entering anything below Aurum Vale, which is where the main problems lie in aiding lower leveled/players leveling a new class to enter a dungeon within 30-40 minutes.

Then there is the problem with Hard Mode Primals and the Lights progression required for Relic upgrades. Hard Mode primals; though 8-man, and still progression content in terms of relic weapons, do not count towards the achievement for tanks.

My whole purpose for beginning this thread was to help better draw attention towards those still leveling and getting their initial relics done and the wait times associated with all dungeons up to the point of Coil Turn 1.

I'd also like to add that the duty roulette system bonuses are currently not working as intended if queue times are spanning hours from the start of trying to queue.

As far as how tanks act and people's attitudes towards tanks, there's not much that can be done to change that. Some people are just assholes. For every tank that acts like a spoiled brat, there's one that plays the role because they genuinely enjoy it. For every person that abuses a tank for the slighest mishap, there's one that's just glad to have a halfway decent one queue up so they can get into an instance and hopefully muddle their way through it.

I know this was five pages ago, but I just read it, and I had to say, this is the wisest thing I've read all day. Thanks for writing it!

ObMountRewards: I main a tank. I've been maining a tank since closed beta. I mained a tank in FFXI and WoW. My point is, I'm a tank. What I'm not is a full-party or raid tank. I find those instances tiresome. On the other hand, I do an average of one low-level duty roulette every day that I play. Does that make me less valuable as a tanking player than someone who runs only end-game, full-party or raid content? Apparently, since they have lions, and I don't.

Let us be realistic here, DRK won't make many more people tank Outside the initial rush. In the long run it will be the same as ever, no matter how it plays. WAR has a more complicated and 'fun' optimal rotation than any dps but is still a tank, still has all that responsibility on its shoulders and the core role of positioning and mitigation.

If people wanted a less boring job there wouldn't be so many damn bards around, but there are. The simplest job at the end of the day is the most populated of all.
