Is it worth to farm zodiac weapons? Returning player

Hello everyone!

1st of all, its been a while since my last post here on forums, I started playing again in december 2014 after a 9 months break...

Im at ilvl 112 atm and blm is my main job, wearing some ironwork accs, armor and demon gear from WoD.

Atm Im doing my 2nd book and Im wondering if it is really worth the time to finish a zodiac weapon, if you compare it to the coil/ironwork weapons...

Nowdays I have around 3 hours a day to play ffxiv, cuz of my classes and work, so Im divided if I should continue with this quest or just leave it as it is...

How much exactly it will cost me?
Do I have to lvl a craft job in the late weapon lvls?
I read that theres a chance to fail to add materia into the weapon at a certain stage of the quest, how bad is the fail rate and how exactly it works? Can I add weaker materias and update them later when I have more gil?

Well imo it is worth doing it. Tuesday it will either become i130 or i135, which will make it BiS or Second Best depending on melds/job.
You dont have to lvl craft jobs, if you ask around im sure you will find somebody that will craft it for you for just tips or for free.
Yes you can add weak materia and replace it later
and not sure on your server about price so inono how much it would take you to make

honestly imo its worth trying to complete atleast 1 since theres gonna be some kind of reward if you have completed it b4 heavensward is released

materia phase you can throw anything on and replace at later time if have the gil
zodiac phase u need some high level items think level 3 master crafting books (kinda over priced at market board)

just pace urself if have no luck or gettin irritated from not gettin the drops go do somethin else for a few hours then try again.. thats what i do gonna be even more stuff to help with that 2morrows XD problem for me is i wont be able to drag myself away from gold saucer long enough to farm the drops i need lol

Whether the relic is worth it to you- I cannot answer, but I can say with confidence that the ease of making a second or third relic is very noticeable once you have made your first, due to repeatable quest unlocks and other built-in advantages.

No. No it isn't worth it. Wasted months just so I can perform the very definition of insanity.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Could have been hanging out with friends or cleaning house or at work doing some overtime. But nope.. sitting here.. doing the same thing over.. and over..

With how close we are to the expansion, I would say no. I would just get a i110 weapon or i130 if they put the upgrade tokens in WoD.

50 aurum vale runs no drop for me.. will i give up?? no cause i actually enjoy somethin that you cant complete in a day or 2 and more satisfaction of completeing somethin that takes alot of effort
