Definitely don't delete your character. Contact SE's customer support. All character data is stored on their server, not your computer. You may have no control over the issue going on and they are the ones who can guide you in the right direction.

Correct. Well, mostly. Character data - what your character's stats, posessions, etc. are - is all stored server side. Configuration files - hotbar layouts, saved gear sets, etc - are actually stored locally, and that's probably what's had an issue.
Contact SE Customer Support. They'll probably tell you to delete the character data files on your system (NOT in-game).
Who am I actually going to be able to contact though? It would have worked better if it was through the game and I was speaking to a GM, they're at least available at nearly all times, whereas their customer support isn't even available today or tomorrow in the slightest and only at very specific times. I don't want to wait 2 days to get this fixed.
I found the corrupted data in my system, should I proceed with deleting that then just have to take the time to recreate it as it was in the game?
