Ever since they buffed BLM F3/F1 potencies and didn't touch Thunder potencies, there is only one opener in a raid setting: F3 timed as the tank pulls. Any opener not starting with F3 is gonna on average be less potency, due to having to in some form do a hard cast F3, and because you're favoring options other than not doing your highest potency option as much as possible, F1. The specifics of what comes after F3 are the only thing that should vary, unless you're giving your tank an aggro lead due to him being undergeared/PUG/terrible.
B3 > Thunder of sorts > F3 only worked well back in 2.0 when you could double dip off of F3 > F1 for a Firestarter proc.
T2 > F3 requires a hardcast F3 when that should just be F3 > F1 in less time
The only time a Thunder opener is good is when you actually get a Thundercloud proc, otherwise it's pretty inferior both sustained and burst.
I can't agree with that. That's why I want to make this video. In paper, B3 opener is weaker but in action, it's better. I want the 5th Fire I.
My first point is I've bursted multiple times for 1k+ DPS starting with B3.

I see the merits you'd have for B3 > T1 > F3 (easy RS entry, having Thundercloud chance, 5 Fire 1s) but every time I try it compared to a F3 opener, the F3 opener stays ahead of the B3 opener the entire way. This is using RS after F1 in the F3 rotation as a Firestarter check.
I just don't know if the advantages can get around the potency loss.
I just spent hours on a spreadsheet doing maths x.x I'm so sick of it. I got... interesting numbers lol. I jsut need to get few people to verify if I'm a moron or not. But if I'm not an idiot, it would explains a lot of thing. ;; I need to be able to talk to Harold.I see the merits you'd have for B3 > T1 > F3 (easy RS entry, having Thundercloud chance, 5 Fire 1s) but every time I try it compared to a F3 opener, the F3 opener stays ahead of the B3 opener the entire way.
