I think the relic upgrade will have something to do with spirit bonding. Look at your zodiacs. They have no spirit bond bar. All the other incarnations have had it. Plus that's about the only currently implemented mechanic that hasn't had a part in the relic line. #StockedUpOnSpiritBondPotions
not really if u need 130/135 weapon to kill Turn 13 SE is doing it wrongYou know the sad part. SE takes so long to come out with the relic upgrades, I already got dreadwyrm sword and shield even with the coil RNG I got both drops. Well I already got a 135 weapon because relics came out way too late to be used in progression.
Anyone one else disappointed? So many people already have their dreadwyrm weapon so the 135 relics should of came out much sooner.
Personally I would of liked to get some use using fully upgraded weapon when we were progressing thru final coil, now its just go in for an hour and clear it.
and since expansion is coming, SE guess decided to add another upgrade...a glow for sure lol

Patch 2.51 will be released February 24th!
It is as ExKage has mentioned. As a rule, we do not release relic information until patch notes have been posted.

Maybe no spiritbond bar, but I'm pretty sure that's what the Nexus step was supposed to be. Even if the lore around it was a bit different (absorbing the souls of the fallen), it was still as close to a spiritbind step that I could envision.
Especially if you look at the history of the weapon from Relic > Nexus. The final step was essentially spiritbinding your fully upgraded weapon.
Nexus > Zodiac is actually a brand new weapon.
I kind of think that we will see a repeat. What was the first thing you did after you got your initial relic? Bought some items with tomestones and upgraded. It would not surprise me in the least bit, that since Zodiac weapon is a "new weapon", that the next upgrade step will be something very similar to enhancement via Thavnairian Mist.
Even if it doesn't follow the pattern exactly as before, I don't imagine they will introduce a super lengthy step for the final upgrade because the expansion is right around the corner.
Or I'm just completely wrong, because this is all speculation(except for the Nexus part, I really do think that was SE's way to make us spiritbind the weapon while adding a bit of lore reasoning behind it)
Gahh, the forums are wonky on mobile. When I post I can't see posts that are after mine until I post again.
There also is no delete/edit option.
alas...
