New Final Fantasy Dissidia a BIG dissapointment!

As a member of the Fighting Game Community, I can easily say that, as others have posted above, that Japanese fighting games almost always come out in arcades first. As for a western localization, I've got my fingers crossed for both this game and Pokken Tournament to make the jump to NA at some point on consoles. Not to say it will happen anytime soon, some of these games can be out a year or more in overseas arcades before making the leap to NA consoles. But it's always fun to hope!

I think many Western players are tired of FF type games. The last few main FF games got mediocre to bad reviews, not because the games were bad, but because the formula were similar. Japanese players still love these games, so they will keep releasing in Japan.

@radkat: ff13 although disliked was still the best selling games of final fantasy before that 12 before that 11 and before THAT 10 (seeing a pattern XD)

dissidia 1 and dissidia 012 both had extremely strong positive reviews, the third game would only receive stronger reviews in the western world as long as it feels the same to the first two with a large loveable cast to select, so far the only new face is Y'sthola, and if it is a arcade i am hoping for at least 8 more characters :c )
