    Probably will see more variety with expansion or 3.1 at the earliest. As it is now, PvP is one of the last things on SE's mind.

    New maps were promised to use with 3.0 so there is that! We will also get ranked WD and special WD-only rewards with seasonal stuff later to entice people to that.
