You know, this is all pointless. No one can really know what you NEED. Case in point: When I run ST now WOD I run at item level. This way no one can question me. I ALWAYS need. There's always a way. ps: I no longer roll on sands and oils because I cant use them. Gear can always be of use.

You are requesting that if an item of a lower ilvl drops, then I lose my right to roll Need on it even if it's for my class. So, if I'm running a dungeon just for a piece for glamour that is of lower ilvl, I have no right to roll Need on it just because you don't like it and I'd have to compete with other 3 people that aren't even playing the proper class. You know what I would do if this was the way the system worked? I'd equip lower ilevel gear and in the end, I'd still win and get my piece.

Yeah, I see that you want an entire rework on the system just to suit your needs. Not happening.

You define need as ilvl upgrade. That is not the only definition. When labyrinth was 1st released with ilvl below coil gear an interviewer asked why raiders should bother with st. Yoshi ' s response? We hope they will participate to obtain glamour items or gear additional jobs. You define need as ilvl. Devs and many players say that's a bunch a baloney.

Choosing not to need on gear you can and being mad at others who choose to need doesn't make the system unfair. It makes you dumb for giving away your lotting rights on principle then being mad others aren't doing the same. If everyone uses the need function no one gets screwed over. If your mad you can't get specific gear for a different class, then go play that class.

There is no unfairness, and being 'nice' and never using need doesn't make you deserving of others to return the favor.

But the root of it is that you refuse to accept that ilvl is NOT the only legitimate reason to need.

I NEED on anything I can. Why? Desynth, glamour, retainer, you name it.
