Looking to upgrade graphics card, not looking to overclock or SLI.

I currently run an EVGA GTX 570 and have had that card for almost four years. It runs the game just fine at 30fps and has been crashing lately during hunts. I run 16gb of memory with a 750w power supply, so any suggestions as to what card I could move up to?

Always bump up to a card that is at least twice as capable as the existing card. Are you sure that's right? a GTX 570 is just slightly weaker than a Radeon R9 270X, but stronger than a R9 270, which puts it in the "slightly better than a 150$ video card" market. A GTX 770 will only net you about 20% more performance, and a GTX 970 would be an actual doubling of the existing performance.

Yeah, I got this build after my laptop failed to run 1.0 for more than a month. It has run 1.0 on 30fps from patch 1.19 (October 2011) and ARR @ 30fps as we speak. It doesn't have to run dx11 version on max when it's made available, but I would like to avoid spending way too much to get a better performance.

    What CPU are you running?

570 should still run FFXIV very well.

Try blowing out the fans and
    Disable Occlusion Culling
Use Low Detail models on Distant Objects
    Cache LOD only when necessary

That should help with memory crashes from hunts

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

GPU Memory Issues seem to crash all cards during hunts. Just ones with higher memory take longer to effect.
Changing those graphics settings help a lot.

Dont get a new card until after Heavensward because there is an issue with dx9 and newer cards with the game crashing in rev toll and hunts
