Glamour Question

Last week I got my healer boots from WoD. They are great for my WHM, so I decided to use those, but I had to glamour them over with the Emperor's new boots to keep the look I wanted. Because I really like the look of the WoD set, I decided to give that to my SCH, but when I tried to glamour my SCH's daystar boots with the WoD ones, it wouldn't let me because Glamour can't stack. Is there any way around this?

Basically:
WHM -> WoD boots, look like Emperor
SCH -> Daystar boots, look like WoD boots

I've been told that you don't need the item in your inventory after you glamour it, so if I gave my glamoured pair of WoD boots to a retainer and got another pair to glamour over the Daystar boots, would the glamour still show up if I discarded/give my retainer the second pair of WoD boots?

I hope it makes sense.

Sadly, there is no way to do two different glamours on one armor piece.

That's not what I want to do. Both pieces of gear only have one glamour, but because of the way I set them up, the SCH would end up with a "glamour within a glamour". Hence why I'm asking if it would work with two pairs (one to equip the WHM with a glamour, and another "clean" one to use for glamour purposes only for my SCH), seeing as the items are unique so I can't have them both in my inventory at once.

So just to make sure I understand you want to use Demon Boots of Healing on your whm, but have them look like the Emperor's New Shoes and use Daystar boots on SCH and have them look like World of Darkness shoes? Theoretically you just need to remove the glamour from the WoD boots glamour them on to the Daystar and then re-glamour the WoD boots. This won't work, however, as you can't glamour a higher ilvl item onto a lower one.

Have you tried removing the glamor off the wod boots before glamoring them to the daystar? Try glamoring them in their original form, and once glamored, make them look like emperor's.

Edit: just saw Naria was saying the same. Yeah, it would work with ironworks though.

That's not true. I glamoured the i120 WoD tank chest over the i110 Noct armor (need the Noct for accuracy). It sounds like this should work if you glamour the Daystar boots first, then put the Emperor glamour on the WoD boots for whm.

I had completely forgotten about this restriction >.< but yes! That's what I want to do. I will have enough tomes soon to buy the ironworks boots though, so I will try doing what you suggested with them, thank you both!

Huh, really? Good to know. Removing the glamour and then glamouring should work then.

I think it doesn't matter what ilvl as long as they're both level 50 gear. But I've only tried it on the one thing so I'm not 100% sure.
