http://world-alerts.com/ is a thing.Just as the title says, please unlock Balmung, if for no one else, than people that already have characters on the server. I got a fantastic RP alt idea I want to do, but I can't make this character:
Why? Because Balmung is locked down 24 hours a day 7 days a a week. I tried at 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, and it never opens. If you feel the server shouldn't have new players, then that's fine, keep the restriction, but don't put that restriction on players who are already on the server. Let us make our alts!

Probably because I got friends on Balmung, and do not wish to juggle 2 servers? My friends are very dear to me, and wish to continue playing with them, even if on an alt. It makes no sense keeping the server locked for people who are already on the server. I am not suggesting opening it for new people, but to do like WoW does. If a server is closed to making new characters, those who already have characters ON the server, should still be allowed to make ALTs. It's not going to change the population of the server. End of the day, myself and others who want an alt, will still be on the server. So why do you care how many alts someone has?
If they gave half a crap about the probably hundreds of black mage bots I see running around our server 24/7, maybe we'd have more space for legit players and their legit alts.

Blist 200/200 not a single one deleted, every single one of them reported. If they cleared my blist out alone they'd be able to open the transfer gates.

Yeah them black mage bots are insane! And they use teleport hacks. I've seen them poof into existence at an npc, jump, then disappear. I am betting that is the major contributer to the server locked problems and I really wish SE would deal with them before they outright destroy the servers economy.
1. Get rid of some annoying (obvious) bots to make room.
2. STOP MAKING SO MANY DAMMED ALTS. By the twelve, it's clear that they locked it so you crazy people would stop taking up all the player space with alts.
seriously. Eventually balmung is gonna be all of 10-20 people running 60-70
Alts at all times >...>
If you want some room, just take a group of your RP friends, and "accidentally" have a group of like 100-150 of the Alts get killed off. Then *bam* there's now room for new Alts.
Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the RP players in general, I actually find it entertaining to come across them and listen in from time to time but sometimes it just....
Here's the line -----....... Here's you across the line.

There is a growing RP community on Siren right now (a lot of Balmung refugees are moving there). Just a few months ago it was almost non-existant, but now you can see the occasional RP event in the Party Finder and Free Company/Link Shells popping up left and right advertising.

Deleted ≠ Banned. Just so you know.
Also I agree that players already on the server shouldn't be restricted from creating new characters, it doesn't really impact anything to restrict those people.

When SE bans bots and gil sellers it does not delete them from our black list. I really wish that it did because then we would have more "personal" proof that SE is dealing with this issue. Maybe even if instead of (deleted) it showed up as (banned).
The only time gil sellers get deleted is if they delete the character themselves.
