I noticed that if you get the buff on screen and wait a few minutes, not doing anything - you don't receive any damage at all. Your just waiting for it to go away - if you do anything your HP drops off the bat.

Actually, if you look at the descriptor for the Pyretics debuff, it DOES say that you're taking damage for every action performed: so doing nothing means you don't take damage.

It works like the Heat debuff in Final Fantasy IX; any action done? Killed yourself.

I was only trying to say this as OP mentions she's trying to get it where she doesn't get the buff at all - but it's not a big deal if you get it because it wears off if you don't do anything.

Same at Cerberus with the Skill that cause the panik. Stoneskin or Adlo up and nothig happens

One thing I'm not sure of is, As a BLM I cast Lightning, Debuff shows up and I take damage. The only thing is I stop casting anything as soon as the debuff is on me, but i'm taking damage from the lightning DOT that I cast, before the debuff is on my screen.

Is it latency between when I saw it cast and when the debuff shows up, or does it bone any class for the DOTs that are on it before the debuff is applied?

Either way it's no big deal as I maybe take 3 tics worth of damage because I stand still while it is on me, and i lump in with the healers for area heals when it's off.

I always have lightning ticks going and I never take damage when I stop casting during Pyretics. Must be something else at play.
