I know there was a thread that had to do with the preordering of Heavensward on amazon, but since haven't seen anything lately about a release date or even price beyond speculation on preorders thought I would post this up.

Seems they are wanting $59.99 and a projected release date of 12/31/15. So I figure again it's probably just speculation on their part with not real backing but still thought I would post it up. SE needs to start giving us some more concrete info on the release and price since they said spring 2015 initially and well that's only a month away.

It's at least 2 1/2 months out: this month is 5.1, next month is the second part of the story. The earliest possible date is the last week of April.

2.5 is last patch before expansion, 2.5 part 2 is scheduled close to expansion, so we don't have to wait for months for exp. part2 will be the climax of 2.x, similar to how 1.x ended; so they don't want us to be kept in suspense for months, between that and exp.
2.5 was released like a month ago, so expansion is around 2 months away.

Don't forget that 60$ is for collector edition.
With the miniature, 60$ isn't really that high.

Most companies, if they have a product for pre-order, but don't have a set release, use a placeholder date.

That's the default placeholder. If they don't know the date, they use the last day of the year. It's pretty common.

I hope its only $10-$30. Paying anymore than that and it'll end up becoming the retail price of the base game, which people will still do, but that's getting a bit stupid there for an expansion.

Sad part is, a lot of people (going to assume new mmo gamers within the last 6 years) seem to be perfectly fine with it being $50-$70 :/ Going to say, it seems like they enjoy being ripped off lol
