People will push more heavily when supporters are silent, in my experience. People who support it shouldn't feel like they shouldn't talk about it not to step on other people's toes.

But if I want to talk about it with other supporters, people shouldn't made to feel less than or ashamed for bringing it up. I sometimes feel like I'm among the minority that see things like this in a game, movie, etc and don't think anything special about it. As in it's just normal, as is a hetero couple in everyone's eyes. Like "oh ok, they're a couple", just as I did with Edda and her douchey tank fiance.
