Honestly, having transferred a few days ago: It's quite... bad.

If you're looking for a Party Finder with 7 other people to clear T10-13, the skill level here isn't as high compared to other servers because everyone is in a static already or the good players are being snatched to newly formed statics. It is still possible to clear, but expect the PF's to be gated by T12/13.

Hunts aren't very organised. I'm not sure how they did it within your server but in Ifrit, they had '1 day LS' with 5-6 parties during peak hours for A(or S) and waited until all members were present before beginning. Here people pull quite early so unless you run straight to the mob after hearing a shout or the permanent LS's, chances are slim to make it.

The people in Tonberry so far haven't been very polite or respectful. I joined a T13 hoping to run with this person's static, waited 8-9 hours only for him/her to say: "My party wants to run with someone else." What? They waited until the very end to inform me... great.

Then I decided ok, I'll go join the PF T9 (because I enjoy playing T9 and I'll help people obtain their desired gear/s because I have everything already)... But no, some jerk stole the tank ring a party member wished for.

I'm sorry if this is sounding very negative, but this is my experience so far with Tonberry. It could be atrocious luck that I'm running into these types of people.

I have met some genuinely nice people here who are funny, helpful and good raiders which I cleared T13 with, but my friend and I are moving back to our old server. He made me give up a lot to come to this server and it did not live up to the hype he was emulating.

This is my opinion of the server. Maybe you'll have better luck finding the right people. Again, sorry to all you good-hearted people of Tonberry. You're just being out-shadowed by the terrible/mean players of the server.

FCoB has been out for 3-4 months already, everyone has made their own static and have a general idea of who to play with and who to avoid.
Yes this server isn't as polite and the greed parties don't generally work, so kickstart it with people you know. Party Finder is dead, nothing left to farm, FCoB either gets 1 shotted or reform. As for that static thing, it's annoying when 'our tank/dps just logged on sorry' so I generally say no or ask when you start.

Devil Exe was by far the best Pugger on Tonberry back then... He will PF up every night, wait for it to fill, have lying 1st timers join & never kick or rage. If everyone leaves after 2-3 wipes, he'd reopen pf like nothing happened probably praying those noobs wont rejoin... some still do...

Hunts suck, I'm just waiting for twine to unlock in WoD.
The nice people aren't being outshadowed, they're just more busy than the ones that are not.

I'm one of the SEA person who play on NA server (because I think the community might be better).
But I have a plan to transfer to Tonberry because my playing time doesn't match with NA ppl anymore, and also want to try if a better latency could be a great thing for my gaming experience.

How about FC in general, are they friendly and helpful? Good community is very important.

This is laughable.....You could pretty much PUG T13 on this server that sounds like skill to me .......PF ranges from T9-T13 DAILY.....and if their wasn't skill why would you contradict yourself stating all the ''good'' players are being snatched up ?


I even ran T13 with you sometime this week if I recall.

Hunts are unorganized every where ? Have you been to another servers main page.....they complain about HUNTS everywhere....

I love Tonberry the community is nice ,and the pugs are awesome you really dont even need a static everyone is capable ....I've cleared T13 4 weeks in a row with a different group...spells skill to me......
Very helpful, I don't speak a lick of JP either and the language barrier is non-existent a few JP onry parties but whatever we're all on the same lvl.....I recommend this server if you're serious about raiding and having a good time
Yeah people kick for wiping but that's because we like to get shit done here.....I love the atmosphere and all ...

Interesting on how you assess a server in just a few days against your experience in Ifrit since May 2014?
Based on what you say about PF...every pug in Ifrit and other servers could clear T13?. That's pretty impressive however that I do not believe.

In relation to hunt... you said Ifrit had a '1 day LS' with 5-6 parties.... That's like what 40-48 members to say the least? You still screw the people not in your '1 day LS'
Hunts have always been notorious. Just because one saw the message that it spawn, you think you are entitled for full credit? That's just greedy. You should know based on the website timers and all ( http://ffxiv-the-hunt.net/?Tonberry ), shouldn't you be in a party to be prepared for the A/S Train? However, regardless in any server, someone gets screwed over.

You concluded that the people in Tonberry are not polite and respectful just because of 1 static? That my friend is the risk you took for joining as a replacement in static. To judge the server because of them, don't you think your sample size a wittle bit too small?

In relation to your experience in T9, every server has their douchebags so bad luck on your end.

In the end, what I am trying to say to put such judgement with such limited time frame is a bit wrong.

Sorry, the grass it not always greener in the other end and you don't give ample time to find the right people.
Like in real life, you can't expect everything to be served in a silver plate and present to you especially when you migrated to a different soil/server

It's not that odd that PUGs on various servers are clearing T12 + 13 these days, content's been out for quite a while and with Carbontwine in hunts and video guides for every turn, it's not too strenuous as long as you have the right names and are culling the ones not making the cut for reasons other than a lack of experience.

Having said that, I've played on quite a few NA servers actively as well as Tonberry for end-game content, I'd say this server is definitely one of the better ones for non-static endeavours. Kaz is right: you come in at a pretty deep content lull. A lot of pickup players have made their own LSes and form their mix parties from within, only PFing what they can't get at the time. As for hunts, they're a riot on any server (especially now with a GM confirming that early pulling is not against TOS).

Whilst you're entitled to your opinion, I hope that you give it a bit more time than the short assessment made.
