If anything I'd like the Gold Saucer entry to be tied into the upcoming Hildibrand quests, it would make sense because the Gold Saucer is supposed to be owned by the Manderville family.

That content it's supposed to be available for everyone, it's good that you are trying to come up with new ideas for the game but that idea will only lead to rage and discomfort among players if it goes live.
FFVII was a single player game, not an MMO, they have to make the new content available to anyone that wants to participate in it, doesn't matter if they are hardcore or casuals, plus, I'm sure you will have to spend gil already in order to get tokens to be able to play in the games, so an entrance fee is highly unlikely but... it's SE we are talking about. :P
Or oiling up a old man at bronze lake (after you defeated Titan storymode) as a requirement
Bu isn't this already like an entrance fee? ^^

The members in my fc are trying to get 5 and 10mil gil for the GS start just theory of course to do w/e is available. If it be chocobo racing food to buy (which is said to be included), maybe card tourny fees, a slot machine which was in the 2.5 trailer (if it's even playable), and anything else that may be there.
If we need to buy an entrance pass, it better be placed in the key item slots and not the main inventory slot, ya hear! Same goes for those tokens. D:<
Much rather have an afk kick. More than likely it'll be set up like the wards in housing areas to prevent over-crowding.
Yay! Put in entry licenses but make them limited just like housing. That way its a first come first serve!
