Minfilia isn't useless but is more a plot point. Her and the MC/WoL are the only loving Echo users now. Watch her become important in 3.0 when we go kick Lahabrea and Elidibus out of Ishgaurd.

Any way. I think freeing us from Hydalyn's blessing was a blessing in disguise its self. The sooner we rely on our own power the less we'll be screwed when her power runs out. She's just badly got enough to keep her self alive as is.

Speaking of muffinella; I wonder if they plan on somehow making her a vessel of Hydeline? Afterall, Hydeline is typically represented as a pale blonde chick that people are compelled to protect just look at the Dissidia.

Well the cos did absolutely nothing, even got captured twice at severe cost to more interesting characters in the game. She hasn't contributed a single thing to the group, she'd tell others to find things out and then these people will explain everything.

Moenbryda definitely did NOT have the echo, if that's who you're talking about. It was very obvious during the cutscenes that she couldn't understand the Ascian.

Don't forget the entire reason why you joined the scions in the first place; you have the echo. It's not a stretch of any sorts that other scions (besides the archons, bookkeeper, the domans [if they are really scions], and one or two other special npcs like minfilias mother) have the echo, even if it's very weak

This is a much more reliable assumption when talking of those were grandfathered in from the Path of the Twelve. The Scions accept all sorts, though they went out of their way to recruit Hydaelyn's champion due to their possession of the echo among other admirable traits. If I remember correctly, Hoary Boulder says when he's introduced that he's a largely unproven adventurer who joined because he was inspired by the tales of the Hero of Eorzea and wanted to do his part.
