Level Sync needs to be more forgiving.

As it stands, when you level sync for any given FATE you lose the effect the instant you step outside of the FATE boundary. This is problematic for a number of reasons, but is most prolific for boss FATES which involve a lot of running around.

The Eyes Have It is a perfect example of a Fate where the area is too small for the number of adds and the sheer weight of the boss' attacks. 100 onze swing NEEDS to be avoided, and you can't rely solely on Stuns.

For many classes, moving out of the FATE is no big deal since you can simply move back in, but for the tank it's often fatal. You lose ALL aggro you had on the boss, and can't use Provoke to get it back. This means the big guy goes after whoever had the most aggro, usually a more squishy DPS.

I propose a time limit be installed before the level sync is deactivated and aggro is lost. A warning message could be displayed as you leave the combat area, and then a countdown of maybe 20 seconds to get back into the fight.

This way there will be a lot less frustration at losing targets and far fewer casualties as a result.

But...you don't lose agro unsynching. I've done it on purpose several times to get an uncapped second wind in, then recap and continue. And fighting alongside other people while I was tanking the mob, mob stays on me.

The problem comes with the mobs reaching the edge of the Fate zone. At this point they instantly retract and aggro is lost. Further to the 20s timer for players, it should apply to mobs in Fates as well.

At any rate, having to resync is still a mighty big pain in the backside since it kills all buffs and stances. It would be a massive benefit to have some leeway in any case.

The problem with that is you'll be messing with how mobs are leashed now. I don't think that's really a problem because in fates like The Eyes That Have It they intend for it to be difficult. I do agree that some sort of warning when you're gonna be desynched due to going out of bounds would be really great, but they shouldn't mess with how mobs reset.
