Ok. For those of you who are all 'the PS3 isn't the issue!' you're partially right. But when you then compare it to your computer and say 'my computer can run X game!' you're missing the point.

I guarantee your computer is better than a PS3. Why? The PS3 has 256MB system RAM and 256MB video RAM. That's it. Your computer has AT LEAST 2-3x that combined level, and more likely 4-6x it. Most modern low-end video cards have more video RAM than the PS3 had RAM, period. When you compare a computer to a PS3, you need to think about the computer you had in 2006, not the one you have in 2015.

The PS3 causes A LOT of problems and creates A LOT of limitations on what they do with the client.

Ultimately, though, this is an issue of delegation of manpower instead of memory. It would (potentially) take a lot more work to make all these changes, and they'd rather use those man-hours on other things.
