Will current Airborne mounts fly in Heavensward areas?

I doubt that they will make any of the existing mounts into flying mounts myself, but I could be wrong. Personally all the flying distinction means to me is that they hover. Either way, I'll take my black chocobo and my dragon mount over that filthy ahriman any day :P

Considering all the mounts we currently have are not flying mounts, no. Sure the mount might look like they "fly" or "hover" but they are land mounts, not flying mounts. There is a difference.

Yet they were labeled "airborne"; I think the fact that SE took the time to make a distinction is worth speculations.

To OP:
Since a few current mounts are in fact listed as "airborne", there is a chance they will be able to fly over terrain in the expansion. We can hope. I personally can't use the Ahriman mount; the jerky animation gives me motion sickness. T_T I do love my Bomb Chair though!! Perhaps we can upgrade to bigger bombs for better lift? Hmmm... /think.

*rolls eyes* Yeah, yeah, everyone gives me that reaction. But really, while chocobo is a reoccurring presence in Final Fantasy games, it's not like it's the protagonist. I've been playing all FF titles, and never really was fond of having to ride an ostrich. It's not that just because I like a series, I have to like every aspect of it. FFXIV is a close 2nd in my "favorite FF games" JUST for the fact that it gives me an alternative to chocobos. I'm an horse trainer IRL, and love western games (including RPGs like Wild Arms, in the 3rd WA you could fight on horseback!), so yeah... I very welcome non-bird mounts! ^^;

With that in mind, I'm staying loyal to Squaresoft's games and I will keep chasing every cookie SE has to toss me. Horses or not, the stories have always amazed me, and that's what's important for me in choosing my RPGs.

I kinda like the rocket boot idea but I think its too futuristic for Eorzea. Unless they have that Alagan Glow!
