Weapon types you'd like to see in game

Whips would be amaaazing. It'd be like melee and range, if done how I imagine; that would be super cool! I'd also like to see battle fans, preferably mostly as melee with a couple of range capabilities. I wouldn't want a Battle Fan with all range attacks, which is what other games have done. A katana would also be lovely, of course.

Ewww with all this dual wield fan...

You don't have to dual wield everything you know daggers/claws....so boring.

I'd rather just have 1 fan, im sure its easier to dance around with 1 hand free.

Dual Wield Fans are more awesome then one fan, and I believe two fans would make the dancing/battle animations much more symmetrical.

I wouldn't mind seeing mammets show up in the game as an equippable companion a la Puppetmaster back in FFXI, the game's already got some basic rigging and assets for 'em anyways.

Other than that, crossbows maybe? A repeating crossbow, even!

I kinda wish that Carpenter's Ulikummi (or with Supra/Lucis) can become PLD or any sword user. Those badass look really cool.

Or maybe those molotov bomb from FFXII.
