The primals were most likely not in the ship in the opening cs. they were brought into hydalin by the resulting crash and explosion. That's why the imps are so head strong on wiping them and there followers out, they feel responsible for bringing the blight of there existence and there war for dominance to the world.


Cerulium is as far as i can tell not a cocktail of juiced crystals its something totally different. Its the unobtainum powering the war machine that is the empire. The reason there harvesting crystals on mass is most likely to call forth there own primal. Perhaps they realize that if the primals stop there in fighting and focus on them there toast. and are attempting to fight fire with fire.

It just seems weird because the sylphs don't really share characteristics with Ramuh.

The Ixal use aero attacks, for example, but the Sylphs are kind of all over based on their gemstone.

Bahamut has been dead in earlier FF games to, the thing is, it never completely dies, it just comes back, even stronger.

On the subject of if the dragon in the Opening Movie is Bahamut or not, i'd suggest looking at this link http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bahamut. In the myriad of FF titles not once was Bahamut represented as that type of dragon, the kind with no legs or feet (at least not visibly) and is extremely long. Atleast not to my knowledge. So IMO it's not, nor could it ever be, Bahamut.

Please give one good reference point that it isn't Bahamut. Likewise, you would need to do so for Leviathan, as I don't ever recall Leviathan being called as such.

It would be ridiculous if that wasn't Bahamut. It has every characteristic of Bahamut, and it's tied to the release of the eikons who, gasp, function just like Bahamut in every other game.

Bahamut has always been depicted as a Western Dragon. The Dragon in the opening CG is an Eastern Dragon, like Shinryu http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Shinryu (Not that i'm saying it IS Shinryu, it's just odd they'd suddenly change BAhamuts appearance so much)

It'd be heresy! HERESY I SAY!! Yeah, would be really odd if it were Bahamut, but highly doubt it. Apparently Platinumstorm hasn't giving any real evidence to support that it is Bahamut. Just that "it has every characteristic of Bahamut". Fail to see the resemblance myself. heh
