    A couple questions

Hello, I am fairly new to this game. As a level 25 archer, I still have a bunch of questions.

    1. Right now, I'm at a phase where I can't find many more quests on the map. Everywhere I go, there's not those ! quest icons as much as there used to be. Back in the earlier levels there were lots, and it was always one quest after another, giving tons of xp. Now, quests are so rare and hard to find. I just end up doing a lot of levequests for good xp. Some have said to do dungeons but I don't even know which ones to do or what level requirements they are. Should I just use google for that?
Basically, how can I keep finding quests / gaining xp like I used to in the early levels?

    2. This might be a stupid question, but someone told me that joining an FC ( Free Company ) means that people are going to leech off me in the way of getting some of the xp I earn from monsters/fates/quests and everything. It sounds very unreasonable but I just want to verify. Basically, I was told that being in a Free Company will make me get less xp from everything and level up slower than if I wasn't in one.

    3. This question pertains to the first. I was doing a couple quests which are around my level, 18 to 25, but I was told to leave those quests for my other classes when I want to level them. Is that so? Should I really leave those alone? But then, I want to level my main class as a priority. I'm not sure what to do.

I apologize for all my questions, and thank you for taking your time and patience to reply to them. I appreciate it.

Side quests you can leave if you plan to level alts. You will need to level another for your job class. You should have a few dungeons and the duty finder unlocked by now. If not you need to do your main story quests. That one is identified by a flame looking quest icon. As for FC, don't know not in one.

Oh and one other thing about forum posts. If you click edit on your first post you can bypass the limit.

Dungeons are the best source of XP, (though with a DD class like Archer, you'll have long queue times to get into them unless you have friends to join you). Do your Low Level Duty Roulette each day. That has the good dungeon XP followed by a completion bonus of even more XP. Then if you have time for more, you can just select the top few dungeons available to you in the Duty Finder, which will always show you which you have available. You only get Roulette's daily bonus once a day, but mob-kill XP is still far higher when you're in a dungeon than when you're in the open world. (Besides, dungeons have some nice gear drops as well.)

While you're waiting in queue for Roulette or other dungeons, you can fill in the queue time with levequests or FATEs, plus your Hunting Log.

And all of that is in addition to quests. As for quests, make sure you keep following the Main Scenario quest line (fiery ring around the quest ! icon). That's what unlocks a lot of other content. There are, however, some additional dungeons (as well as other features) that are unlocked by optional sidequests instead. This wiki page lists lots of stuff that can be unlocked while leveling up, and where each comes from, if you want to check that against what you've done so far.

The 1000 character limit on the forums only applies when initially submitting a post, and not when editing it. So when you want to post something longer, you can start with an initial stub, and then use "Edit Post" to add in the rest. (I recommend having written the entire thing up in advance though, so that you can just cut and paste to edit it all back in. That way, your initial stub of a post isn't left hanging there too long.)

Not true. In fact, it's quite often just the opposite. Free Companies can (if their rank is high enough to have unlocked the privilege) use Company Actions to grant all FC members any of various boosts, and an XP buff is one of the more popular ones. (Some other possibilities include Teleport discounts, reduced gear wear, crafting bonuses, etc.) So if your FC is using the XP buff action, you'll level faster just by being a member than you would alone. In no case, however, would it decrease your experience. You either get a buff or no effect, depending on whether they have that FC action active.

That used to be a widely used method of spreading around the XP from quests back before the XP from dungeons was raised to what it is now. Personally, I no longer consider it all that important, but I know that many players still ration out quests between classes that way. It's up to you, and may also depend on just how many other classes you plan to level up. Are you a completionist who wants to level every class in the game, or are you going to focus on your Archer/Bard, only picking up the extra classes which can provide cross-class skills to your Bard?

Oh, if you do decide to leave most sidequests for later classes, though, be sure to check out the wiki page I linked above and include any important sidequests (i.e. those that unlock useful features or dungeons) on your first class. Some of that you don't want to leave for later.

Everything everyone has said so far is sound, but one thing I thought I'd add about your third question is that doing those quests is a great way to get new gear. Very soon, as you go up the levels other players will tend to get very particular about gear, and how close your ilevel is to your actual level. The gear you get from these quests is not the best you could have, but is more than ample for you to finish the main story. I say do the quests that offer gear and if you want to, then leave the ones that don't.
