But it DOESN'T though, that's my entire point. If I were to equip a set of plain level 1~10 gear made from LW, all without dyes, and equip my level 38~45 GC gear set and ask someone with only passing familiarity of what my GC's colors are (adders) to tell me which set is a GC set, I'd bet gil to goobbue poop that they couldn't tell the difference.
Again, there are plenty of ways that SE could make the gear stand out and distinguishable as a proper GC gear set and still let us dye the gear. Nurses all wear different colored scrubs, but at the end of the day you can still easily tell that they're medical professionals.
