Emergency maintenance on Limsa onry?

Haha that was my first thought. But aren't the beaches located outside Limsa or is there a beach in Limsa?

Well I'm pretty sure the ramp going down to the beach east of Camp Bloodshore was actually redesigned recently in patch 1.18. (I could be totally crazy though and imagining it all.) They already cleared the shore of monsters a few patches ago and even put a few quests requiring players to go there. There was a time when that beach was full of rank 8x salamanders.

I would not be surprised if the event asked you to go there for swimsuits but this 15 minute maintenance probably has nothing to do with the event. I think it will have to do more with some bug fix in a Limsa quest caused by 1.18 because all other events took place in the three cities and were able to be ninja started without any maintenance at all.

Also there seems to be 5 color variants of the swimsuits so more reason to think it would happen in each town and not just Limsa. (Red=Limsa, Green=Gridania, Blue=Ul'dah, Silver=???, Gold=???) We'll all find out soon enough though, I know some people are really looking forward to the swimsuits.
