Final coil of bahamut from lvl 50 quickest

Hi, so I'm level 50 and done the main quest. I can see there are a lot of side quests now to unlock dungeons. I don't really want to do ALL the side quests, only the ones I have to so I can get to final coil of bahamut and have the right gear. I've already seen some guides online but they're confusing and list way too many options. I'm a tank so it's quick for me to get into anything through duty finder. What is your opinion on quickest way to final (first) coil of bahamut for me? Thanks a lot

Edit: by final I meant first. Or turn 1. Just the first of that series. I see people are recruiting in party finder a lot for it but it's annoying that I'm not yet ready. I really want to try it!

Finish main scenario quest. Unlock the first coil. Beat t5 of the first coil. Unlock second coil. Beat t9 of the second coil. Unlock final coil.

Pretty sure everything else is optional.

Only that Binding Coil of Bahamut is hidden behind Titan HM. And that is the way OP wants to go finish story do ifrit HM - Garuda HM - Titan HM - unlock Coil at Vesperbay/waking Sands Questgiver Urianger.
Fastest gear is crafted if you do not want to grind dungeons/hunts. Else take all firsttime bonus in dungeons you can get gear up lowest pieces first (those where you dont get dungeon drops) and focus Legacy of Allag Quest do CT (Labyrinth of ancients) run it till i70 then ST (Syrcus Tower) and then once i90 get your weekly World of Darkness Loot.

If you want to do coils take care of accuracy needed

    Well hope it helps ^^

Ah, I personally considered the original story to officially end after relic was obtained.

Noahlimits, what relic are you talking about? What I did so far was try to do all the quests which open after level 50 so I can unlock all dungeons, and did main storyline at same time, and to obtain the weapon and to unlock crystal tower. So it's a lot, but I think it's working ok so far. I do the main scenario roulette which usually gives me around 200 soldiery (adventurer in need plus new player usually in the dungeon gives bonus) so I am saving the soldiery to upgrade all my kit to level 100. I haven't unlocked crystal tower yet but I think I will manage soon. Either way, I'm looong way away from having all gear level 100. If I only get 200 soldiery a day, it will take around a month. Not to mention I saw how hard it is to get poetics, so to get all gear level 120 would take around 6 months or more. so if people are hoping they can get the gear quickly, dream on. But I like the quests that opened after level 50 - I think they are fun.

They're talking about the quest "A Relic Reborn" for your class-exclusive relic weapon.

Since you are a Paladin, yours would start with Curtana/Holy Shield and end with Excalibur/Aegis.

Well, it really depends if you have geared friends or not. If yes, try to do all the content at least once (being carried is OK), and have lots of soldiery. Then buy the i100 stuff. Do ScoB or ST (being carried again is not a problem), and ask you friends to let you the oils/sands to have your i100 -> i110 stuff. I did this with an alt. In two days I was i110 and was able to start FcoB. If you dont have friends, maybe you can try to find people doing Zodiac and interested by this bunch of free soldiery tokens.

You've confused a lot of people here. BCoB or Binding Coil of Bahamut is turn 1 - 5.
Anyway, in order to unlock BCoB all you have to do is Ifrit HM, Garuda HM, and Titan HM. You can do this through the "A Recurring Problem" quest which can be started at the Waking Sands.

Ah, I know I've confused people. I understand what I have to do in terms of quests, but I still don't know how I'm supposed to get the right armour to get to the Coils. Sorry, doesn't really matter which coil, any coil is good: turn 1 or whatever of the first coils. I don't have friends to carry me, so I need to figure out how to do it using duty finder alone. I read guides online which says you need a level of armor which means you have to go trough around 10 dungeons around 100 times or so (I am exaggerating here, but you get the gist), just to get the armour weapon and accessories for the coils. So let's say I want to do just the first coil turn 1 for now, what's the minimum amount of other dungeons or quests I should do, so my gear is up to the task (don't want to get killed a lot because I have weak gear either).

    - the reason I'm asking is because I got to lvl50 and did lots of hard quests and dungeons and spent a lot on gear, without having a clue at all that I could have got 4 pieces of ilvl50 armour by doing the easy job quest at level 45. so I don't want to have a similar experience of just rushing about, but want to know if there's any easy to do, quick, way of getting the right gear (not the would be nice gear, just the would make a massive difference and you should probably get gear), before I start trying the first coil. Thanks!

One of my friends just reached a similar situation.

Crafted gear is an option, and ranges from i55 to i110, with prices (on my server) of several million gil for i110 pieces. If you don't have a lot of gil, you can probably just forget about anything over i70 from crafted.

The crystal tower series has the largest item level gap between entry and drops, so unlocking those and using them to fill out your body pieces while you use the tomes they drop to fill out the accessory slots will gear you up pretty fast. What this amounts to is: unlock Labyrinth of the Ancients, do it several times to get i80 body pieces, spend tomes on i100 accessories, when you reach i70 unlock Syrcus Tower, do Syrcus tower until you hit i90 in the same fashion.

Once you hit i90, you can unlock World of Darkness and start getting one i120 body piece per week and unlock the most recent 3 dungeons (Amdapor Keep HM, Wanderer's Palace HM, and Keeper of the Lake [Keeper of the Lake is through story]). The top 3 dungeons drop i100 accessories, body pieces, more tomes, are are faster than Syrcus tower, but Syrcus tower also has upgrade items for i100 tome gear if you have managed to get a lot of it.

As for when in this process you'll be ready for coil, for BcoB and ScoB, just go by the ilv requirements in duty finder. With echo, they're kinda moot anyways, but that's what's required for entry.
