    Have each boss in WoD drop 2 chests per party.

    Perhaps this is a strange suggestion. But you know what? I'm gonna make it.

    Have each boss in WoD drop 2 chests. Right now, there's a huge gear saturation with all the jobs and shoving them into 4 chests basically means that we have a low chance of ever seeing the items we want.


    For example, I have friends who have killed a specific job 45 times seeking a piece. That is just -too much- in my eye, for a single boss, to try and farm it to get that drop. In fights where there's only a possibility of 5 items, that can be attributed purely to RNG. But here? Here it is because there is just... too many items in the game right now.

    I think it would help alleviate it to have MORE items we have a shot at, effectively doubling our chances.

    And I think this would help alleviate so many problems that come with it. Right now, WoD is a mindless grind of people who randomly start spewing vitriol at anyone for anything. It's because people are becoming frustrated. They want "Their loot for the week", they want to be -done- with the area. This is sadly a very telling sign of how it's design - that it's possibly not getting fun for them and they need to step back.

    There's less gear in WoD than there is in Coil; not sure if it is half as much, but it's close.

    One chest per party per boss makes sense when the loot pool is about half as big.

    There's a single boss in each TURN of coil. Thus, you cna choose what you want to farm and easily blitz it down. There's no such choice in WoD - it's all or nothing.

    The difference is in completion time. I don't know any coil turns that could take more than 30min on a one-shot. Meanwhile WoD will likeley take -at least- 30 minutes, most likely 45-1 hour. It's quite the time commitment if you want only one specific drop.

    Edit-in: Though you're right, there is slightly more gear with Coil. Not much. Enough to cover Healing, Slaying, Aiming, Fending, and Casting (5) accessories * each 4 = 20 accessories. It's a little bit of a wider pool, to be sure.

    It's the second day of the 3rd lockout since WoD released...

    Give it 2-4 more weeks and it won't have a lockout anymore.

    I know that isn't really about your issue but...I'm just trying to make a point that this is how CT has worked since it's release I don't see why they need to change it now.

    Or they can just do what I do que in fight to the boss that you need said item from and if the boss doesn't drop it then straight out leave group and do something else while waiting for the 30 minute wait timer to expire.

    It is how it worked back in CT...however in WoD there was ROG NIN specific gear was introduced to the loot tables.

    Ultimately, this lowered the chances that someone would get the gear they wanted.

    Personally, I think it's borderline...fine. But with more classes and jobs being introduced a change might be due.

    Don't forget FCoB isn't farmable the way WoD is. If you clear a turn once, you get no loot till the next week even if you didn't get anything from your clear. You don't even get to see what loot drops on your 2nd clear and beyond even if you go in in a one chest party. While it might be a single boss, the loot isn't the same at all.

    The very best gear in the game, yea, I can understand having that "Wall" there. But we're talking about farmable (At least to an extent) content. A more apt comparison is to the Second coil of Bahamut, where you can enter infinitely and farm what you want. Each of those fights, aiming for a piece of armor, give two chests at a time, and again - they are dungouns that, with a good team that knows what they're doing, takes less than 30 minutes each time. Compare this to WoD, where people are going hardcore farming the fights they need multiple times in a potentially hour-long process, and you can see why I suggest making it a 2chest/boss setup (to help increase loot distribution and % chance.)

    I understand the comparison between WoD and Coil loot, but let's not forget that Coil drops items that allow you to upgrade gear to i130 as well. And those can be used by anyone. There are 11 items in the chest for the 2nd boss in WoD. That's just too much for such a long instance. I know a bard that went 30+ runs without even seeing the bard chest, and even then, lost it to another bard. This frustrates people and causes them to run up to a point and then leave if they don't see their drop. 2 chests wouldn't have any negative impact on the raid, so I don't see why it could be a bad idea.

    im about to do around 40 runs in wod and i have still not seen the tanking body i mean wtf do another 40 runs before i see it?
    f rng ... so yea extra chest will give extra chanse drop something
