Brayflox is pretty make or break I think. Its the first dungeon where you really have to pay attention at all times, especially as a healer or tank! Plus it forces you to make sure your gear is in check. I remember when I first started running it, I was a CNJ and it absolutely terrified me. I would get nervous and a bit sweaty when the duty popped. There were plenty of wipes and quite a few abandons, it made me feel awful and pretty useless but its definitely a learning curve. If it wasnt for that place, i wouldnt be the healer I am today

it's a relief to hear others also had a similar experience. I stopped leveling my WHM after this dungeon. We wiped quite a few times (I didn't even have Stoneskin available at the time) Fortunately healers were hard to come by or I'm sure they would have vote-kicked me off the team.

Not much I can contribute that hasn't already been said.... But maybe I can help with a bit of morale?

    If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty sure Bray broke two of my FC mates, for a short while, the first time they went in as a new healer and new-player tank xD;
Bray is one of those dungeons, for new players (and some that are just experiencing either of those two classes but not new to the game), that seems like the first ever nightmare (don't worry. Bray will become nothing, and Aurum Vale will be your next nightmare . It's a dungeon that you need to be prepared for - gear, your class skills, your knowledge on your class.... As long as you run at a comfortable pace (doing or not doing larger pulls, etc) and able to perform what is expected (holding hate, getting out of AoEs, popping cool downs when you think you need them, pulling Aiater out of poison), then the rest is up to everyone else.
Honestly, as soon as I learned you were referring to Brayflox, it clicked - "oooohhhhh.... thats one reason why >.>"

Cross-classing skills that may help you is also a good idea (I cross skill Second Wind and Blood Bath (on melee only) with everything I can as backups) along with defensives that you may attain from either tank (in your case, from Marauder...). You may have to level some classes for those perks, but they're well worth it. Bloodbath as a marauder skill and Second Wind from pugilist has saved my ass so many times.
For tanks, the weapon is incredibly important for holding aggro, just as gear is incredibly important for defense/damage absorption.

If you need to farm more money for more gear, I'd suggest finding a crafting class you may find enjoyable and sell what you've made via retainers, or gather moneys via leves (you can also sell some of the gear the leves give you if you don't need them ) and dungeons you know you can do easily.

Unfortunately, some players will try to find something to blame in their frustrations, regardless who is at fault. If you know you're doing everything you can, asking for help and trying to improve then that's a great start!

Try lvl other class in the same time, I think better you go as a DPS first.. do some observation and study them before you go as TANK.
You can go with your FC member and ask their guide, I go with my FC member for my first entry at each dungeons, asking them to guide me for TANKING mechanic.
I can't help much because I'm also new player.

I was terrified of Bry while leveling my first class, even as DD, I didn't want to queue it or anything to do with it once I managed to pass it, but it gets better believe me, once you do it so many times, and you learn and have practice with your CNJ/WHM it's not so terrifying - once I had to join in progress with scholar (didnt have WHM yet) and at that level I didn't have the "Leeches" (same as esuna) and had to heal double because I couldn't dispel - we survived! Now that I had my fair share of dungeons, Bry is not a problem for me anymore (I still don't like to heal it or tank it). But I do agree, try few runs with DPS class and watch the healer how they do it - it helped me.

    1. Gears upgrade, try some battle leve quest, they will give gears.
    2. SP gears and sell all materials for Gil
    3. Spend some grand company seals for gears

I think a party finder helps more as many ppl disable shouts (due to huntspam). So i found at one point a pf of a gladiator "Please help me tank through this" we went 2 tank and had a lot of fun ^^

The Scholar is my Main Class/Job and i try a new Dungeon always as Healer.
After 2-3 Runs i know how hard every Mob/Boss can hit and then i try it with my Paladin.
Aiatar as a White Mage is tricky...was missing my Scholar Aetherflow and running ooM sometimes.

Both Battlemage and Cavalry Sets looking realy good.
Im now at 5/6 Battlemage and 4/6 Cavalry.Need more Brayflox runs.^^

cnj and whm will oom if you over heal or if you need to constantly esuna, or people are lazy and won't dodge

add in that puddles are aimed at non tank members, idiot dps can leave no space for the tank to move it

fight is definitely easier on sch, eos doesn't oom and unless you only heal with adl, neither will you
sch doesn't need leeches because it effectively has cure2 fire the cost of cure1
    and cure+stone skins love child

If you haven't already, if you're above level 30, you should really try to get your job crystal and become a Paladin. It boosts all your stats, and will help you fit better into your Tanking role.
