No. And this is coming from someone who saved up 26 blood-spattered mark logs from before the update.

The level of jealousy in this thread is really impressive, OP is just asking for something very obvious
What are you trying to prove there? o.o /confused.
Up to 26 log and you prefer to see them rotting in your retainer? hmmm... Not everyone like to be punished you know.
I personally got a couple of, like 6 xD getting some sort of deal to not let them totally wasted would be nice.
Great idea OP, I'm sad that you get flamed so much by envious/jealous people in the thread... They obviously fear to see the person next to them gearing more "quickly" than them, pathetic to say the least when you know that most contents can be facerolled with crappy stuffs xD
I personally don't even see how this would help gear more quickly since 1.) The people that hunt constantly will hunt constantly and get a crap ton of gear regardless and 2.) We just want the option that SE does in a way. We want to turn in this outdated item for something that's actually worth something. If soldier gear still was good or could be upgraded further (not possible if everything is upgraded) then these old books are pointless.Great idea OP, I'm sad that you get flamed so much by envious/jealous people in the thread... Seriously, what's 26 books gonna do for you if you have everything upgraded? Nothing. Just toss them or ask SE for a chance to turn them in for gear that they plan on phasing out soon anyway.
Prove that it's not good design to make it so players can instantly get 3 carbontwines after the patch? If it were that way you'd see complain topics on the forum about players who saved up logs getting carbontwines. It's pretty obvious based on the allied seal cap, the increased seals from hunts, and the use of a completely new log that SE did not want players to instantly get 3+ carbontwines on day 1. If SE was okay with players doing that, why even introduce a new log in the first place? The level of jealousy in this thread is really impressive, OP is just asking for something very obvious

And no my old logs didn't rot. I bought sands with all of them and upgraded all my alt's soldiery gear.
With the nature of hunts PLUS the type of people that spam them, people pretty much had 3 carbontwines after the patch. I guarantee that people had half of their gear upgraded the very first day that the patch went live. So this argument is kinda not valid.
Also, that cap is nothing. It just means you can't go for long stretches without returning for your gear. There's no weekly cap, there's nothing but the player themselves to stop themselves, which, lemme tell you, they don't. And a new log was introduced because it wouldn't make any sense if blood splattered logs kept dropping and only upgraded soldiery items. SE should have made the logs tradeable for either gear set and just called it a day. 3 for soldiery and 6 for poetics.
Just saying. I do hunts (not as hardcore as some, but I do) and nothing about it is "good design." People who spam hunts get fully upgraded gear within a day or two. It's nothing to them.
We're just asking for something to do with this outdated item.
Or SE could have just had one type of log but just increased the number required for them. They already increased the number required for the new logs. So why introduce more types of currency. /annoyed
Nope you still don't get it.
They could have made the blood-spattered logs exchange directly for carbontwines at the 6/per rate, but chose not to. Why expend the resources to create a new item completely? Because they didn't want players who saved up blood-spattered logs to obtain carbontwines instantly. They wanted those players who got fully upgraded gear in a day to spam hunts for them again.
Sadly, your words speak the truth :/They could have made the blood-spattered logs exchange directly for carbontwines at the 6/per rate, but chose not to. In the same process they decided to prioritize once again a potential way to keep people subbed over fun and happiness... Meanwhile we could had saw less dramas and public shaming about Hunts if people were able to trade their old logs.
But what I don't understand is, if you are going to resurrect a content that was "working" with ilv110 gears, why not scale it for people with il120-130 gears?
The hunt is clearly broken and most Marks just explode 30 seconds to 1 minute after their pops on decently populated servers, leading to daily waves of insults everywhere :x I really don't think it give a good and positive picture of the game to new players who were just exping/questing in the same areas.
I would say no because bloody logs can still be bought with seals and used to buy sands and oils.
There's a good reason why this isn't a thing. I've heard of some people who have dozens of logs. Maybe in the future when i130 gear is no longer the relevant thing it would be possible.
