The one problem with that is the excessive enmity it generates, especially when adds spawn. And, while sometimes a preemptive HoT is worth it on the whole raid, do remember that overhealing counts double for enmity, so it's something WHMs need to keep in mind. Especially in fights where picking up adds is often iffy and uncoordinated...
