Winning an item via GREED shouldn't lock you out of rolling NEED

I only started raiding a few weeks ago, for the record.

Typically, you roll Greed on items you might use down the road, or at least that is how it has always been in other MMO's. That you are penalized for doing so if just a totally alien concept to me. I don't know, I'll have to sit down and really consider the long-term implications -- maybe it's a better system after all -- but it's definitely a system-shock, coming from virtually any other game, including FFXIV itself prior to WoD.

For the record, every time you click on the loot list (which you have access to even if you are locked, which your good self have also proven it), there is a text that says something along the line of:

"You can only obtain one piece of gear or gear enhancing material per week (Earth Hours)."

SE made that every effort to warn every one.
