Gender Locked Battle Cpose

When /changepose was added I was so very happy! The customization is a great touch!

I've seen a few complaint thread on this since then, I specifically remember one about female monks disliking their pose.

Well, for me the problem came with Dragoon.

I LOVED my pose at first, until I saw males had THE ICONIC dragoon pose.

It was heart breaking, course I'm not ungrateful, but DRG is my favorite FF job, and that pose is something special to me. I don't see why these poses need to be gender locked~ I have a male friend that prefers the female pose~

I hope that in the future it would be possible for us all the share the job class cposes, and bring even more variety to our customization, especially when it comes to poses like the male DRG pose. I can't say any of the other poses are iconic (are they? I'm just a DRGophile~ so I KNOW that pose) but all of them should be shared regardless!

Any poses you wish that you could have from the opposite genders battle cpose?

Me too. I hate female dragoon pose so much. The males look so cool.

Thats kinda funny because all my guy friends and myself like the female dragoon pose think it's cool but we also think the male pose looks more feminine and should belong to the females haha

I don't see a reason why they should not be shared.
The more variation the better.

I'd rather them start putting in more gender locked animation and while they are at it start putting in more unique race animations as well.

I don't get why there is always this demand to get access to everything. Aren't some of you tired of every character being practically the same? The races and genders have practially no identity in this game as it is because they all look and move the same.

I think it's fantastic that male Miqo'te have a different sitting pose than the females and that they have a unique pose to any other race. We need more of this kind of thing in the game, not less. The differences should be compelling enough to different people so that when someone sees something a specific race/gender is doing they think "wow I should use a Fantasia and remake my character to that" rather than "no fair that should be an option for my race/gender too!"

Um... Is it unrealistic to assume that since we are all humanoid shaped characters, that we should not all be able to make the same kind of motions? Posing arms and legs is not a gender thing, it's not a race thing, it's something we all can do.

I have to agree. Unique poses gives flavor. Take a look at FFXI or WoW for example. Each race/sex has its own distinct feel, its own distinct flavor, and a major reason for this is because of how unique each of their combat animations and emotes are. There should be more differences between race, sex, and class animations.

In general I agree with you, but I think OP has a point. The dragoon pose is pretty iconic, so it seems weird to limit that particular pose to gender rather than class.
