Um... Is it unrealistic to assume that since we are all humanoid shaped characters, that we should not all be able to make the same kind of motions? Posing arms and legs is not a gender thing, it's not a race thing, it's something we all can do.

This. There's nothing unique or special about them, it was just an arbitrary decision on the dev's part to have them gender locked. I'm all for more options.

Aren't some of you tired of every character being practically the same?

All players of a certain race and gender have the same poses now. Being able to mix and match makes for more viariety than choosing between only two options. Poses are how I tell lalafells apart in a second if I cant' see their face. That's how much uniqueness there is...
