big reason i haven't bothered with fcob yet and i actually started to find groups of people i knew to run things with now. randoms groups almost always devolved into some war started by somebody calling out somebody else for messing up on the same thing over and over and no matter how nice they were about it the person that messed up just blew up and started a fight. not sure what's worse that kind or the kind that kicks for the tiniest things. at the moment i'd go for the second one, i just want my relic D:

I've had a T9 party finder group make it to debuffs phase on the first try, wipe and 3 people said, "This isn't gonna work" and ragequit out LOL. Like... I'd say a group of randoms get together and make it to phase 4 on the first try is decent enough to warrant another try. Patience is sorely lacking.

I don't either, but I don't like overly emotional pros either. I guess at first glance, I figured there wasn't anything to gain from the op's question. As I reflect on it though, I think there's something that could be addressed. Let's look at alllll the things Chris could've said:

In hindsight and IF the op is telling the truth (no offense dude) should they have been kicked? Are the people who kicked him in violation?

When someone says "holy?" to mean, I read it as, "Help with dps instead of standing there!".

The thing is, most healers know what they can and can't manage/handle. Some can't multitask, some feel as though their job is only to heal. As a WHM myself, unless it's part of the boss' strategy, I touch nothing, I click nothing. If I Holy, it's with Swiftcast. If I wanted to dps, I'd join as BRD or DRG.

When I was tanking a dungeon, we had a SCH going on and on how our dps stunk. He claimed to be an iLv120 dps main. He tried to kick the MNK who caved and told him to stfu.

I'm the type to let people play how they are comfortable with. If it's a dungeon, it's not always necessary for me to rush the run if the group isn't pushing it.

That was a little extreme but one could just as easily say there are allot of loud mouth aholes in the game as well. Such is the way of humanity.

lol yep. always hits that moment when one person rage quits or lie leaves then everybody takes their chance to run from like one or two wipes. happened a lot back when people were still trying to clear titan ex for me.

i do how ever have a bard friend that i got after that run. she actually voted to kick the tank after i joined back lol

Long story short, you DO NOT expect Healer to dps or call them HORRIBLE for not doing so, just because they are uncomfortable. Any DPS on top is just a extra bonus that set those who can apart from the rest, making them standing out as an Exceptional individual. And if anyone push that DPS duty upon healer while they are clearly not confident in doing so, you are a jerk and deserved to have a boot up your butt.

What is the healer doing when nobody needs healing then? I hate seeing a healer just STANDING THERE and doing nothing. It is insulting with WHM being my main job.

A WHM/SCH that doesn't do anything but heal is a horrible healer.

But on the other hand, TC, I totally understand where you're coming from. It happens on all ends. I recall saying, {Regen} {Can I have it?}. His response, "don't have it yet". I said {Understood}.

He then replied (while not healing me due to typing), if you're concerned about Regen, find yourself another healer. Then he left.

that's can be a bit of problem and i'm guessing most peoples problem right there. they take what others have said and put a meaning behind it they think is right and run with it even with no backing proof. that can cause conflict where there wouldn't have been any. when i said "holy?". i meant it as i have foe's up if you didn't see(don't read that in a condescending voice lol) and holy would help speed this up a bit. all they had to do was say no or anything along that lines and i would have replied some form of "ok :]" and left it at that.

If this whole conversation was the truth, then in my perspective, OP did indeed deserve a kick for Harassment. It is a grey area for such thing, I admit. But the whole conversation really shows that someone in the party did try to push the DPS duty onto the Healer. And many people dislike it, mainly, because they are playing Healer to Heal, not to DPS. If they do indeed want to DPS, they have gone to play DPS already. And someone even question their ability as HEALER. It is just rude and demanding no matter how you look at that conversation.

Instead the whole conversation could be:

If it is possible, we would like to have some Holy thrown around. It helps contributing with DPS and more fun that way.

Then stop at that, the rest, whether they want to do it or not is up to them. No remind, no pushing, no questioning.
