This is FFXIV, what does FFXI have to do with this game? The answer is simple, because it was that team working on this game now, and history has a funny way of repeating itself.

1: it's not the same team
2: if i had a dollar for every time this has been posted, I'd be taking a plane for Honolulu for a long vacation financed by the ones that can't use search.

Kind of is, was in an interview long ago. Hell they even have some of the leads now from XI working on XIV as you know, but the core team of unknown named guys probably work on both games. Its same department, they cant afford 2.
Of course, it's not exactly the same team, people have been fired since then, and new replacements came in.
Yeah, especially when that website and this topic has been repeated over and over....history has a funny way of repeating itself.
Since we are at the 10th month, I would say give the team 12 more months, and it would be a decent game.

but if TERA's development team were making a new MMO titled, "Pile'o'shat". (History repeating itself) You'd treat it like spun gold.http://www.eosun.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5009
