No clothing or Accessories for Valentiones

I just figured they were switching up the rewards each year. That would be nice, so over the years we will get a good mix of different types of items (barding, gear, etc) for each holiday.

As for the old stuff for sale on the mog station, I am satisfied with this. I feel it is a good compromise between having all previous seasonal stuff available every year (making it less of a special, don't-miss-it thing, which I realize some people dislike) and having seasonal items be only available once. I am annoyed with myself for missing the summer event, and am glad that I'll probably be able to buy my favorite yukata when they are added to the mog station this summer.

Valentione rewards history:

2011 - Cake and Chokolade
2012 - Chokers
2013 - Gears and the rewards from 2011 and 2012
2014 - Barding and housing food

Like we see here, gears (except the chokers) were only once a Valentione reward.

The old seasonal rewards are also almost all tradeable and listed on the Marketboard. People don't HAVE to buy them on the MogStation if they don't want. It'll likely be expensive in game, but those outfits are available on most servers. Some people kept them to sell.

Only those that are tradeable. That would be the Dream set and the Usagi Kabutos, because they were crafted seasonal gear during 1.0 (also the reason why they are not storable in the armoire and why the cash shop versions of them got renamed)
Every other seasonal gear is untradeable.

This is why instead of cash shop event items should be seasonal and build upon themselves every year.

But day cash shop money. Going towards all the hard work or some other hilarious excuse.

It would be also good enough if the devs do it like during 1.0
You missed the event at that time, you missed the gear. No last years event items in the event shop, no cash shop

Well they could put these item onto that NPC, who sells many other seasonal items... no?

That happen already. But your character have to finished the event last year so that the gear show up in the shop list

I don't mind their giving different event items each year for variety. I am looking forward to the new barding!

How about you guys go play WoW? The events give the exact same stuff every single year. :l You can't even transmog it either.

Honestly, you only have to pay a few bucks if you missed the event and if you really want the cosmetic item. That doesn't make it a cash grab... I definitely prefer this over WoW's way of doing it. Also that chocobo barding looks amazing.

I think everyone complaining want the events to be like WoW >.>. No thank you to the same events over and over and over again...

I do apologize, but to bring up a complete legitimate argument... in FFXI, When a new event was added, in almost every instance (aside from super super early events, like, near release), Events would add new items, but all old items would be obtainable in some way. Rather it be old mini games/events, or straight from an NPC. This was a good system... and I'm not sure why it wouldn't be kept. Bring in the new stuff but allow us to get the old stuff too.

But just like weddings, this is XIV, and we have a cash shop, so buy it with real money or gtfo. The lovely era of modern gaming we live in.

Just want to say something to the people complaining about event items in the cash shop, if they have enough profit with event items, that's good, they will focus in something that at some point was available for everyone instead of making "ABSOLUTELY EXCLUSIVE" cash shop items.

It's bad, but it's the lesser evil compared to the other option.

Rather it be old mini games/events, or straight from an NPC. This was a good system... and I'm not sure why it wouldn't be kept. Bring in the new stuff but allow us to get the old stuff too.

Why are people so upset about glamour-able gear? And why would you want every X-mas, V-day, Halloween, etc., event to be same rewards?

I love the way they swap out rewards instead of reissuing out old gear again and again.

This year V-event pretty much is fail -.- looks kinda heartless.
I wont even do this event for the achievment. ;(

Last year we had 3 kinds of necklaces + an outfit for players! Wich was pretty nice!!!

This year -> just a lame/ugly outfit for the chicken (sry I dislike Chocobos)

(I dont count the garden item because not every1 has a house. I dont count the cake becaue we can craft this.)


I was expecting at least rings, earrings, wristbands and/or headpieces with Valentines Day theme... -.-
Looks like my accessorys will stay Invisible, sadly...
