Why so much new house content as casual rewards?

Most casual players cannot afford housing. If they can afford housing, there is only so much space, and not nearly enough for even a moderate number of players to have a house.

Yet casual events like seasonal holidays keep giving out housing content?? Especially this holiday, where pretty much all we get is furniture and barding.

what are we supposed to do with all of this furniture? eat it?

It does seem a bit weird to give rewards for use in a system that only a tiny fraction of the player base can access.

Everyone has the possibility to get an own room in FC house (If your Fc cannot afford then i cannot hold it D: ) and 300k gil aint much.

I was actually considering starting a thread about this (sort of). It really looks like there's a disconnect between Yoshi and the players. Past couple events have had lots of housing items as rewards and not much else. So few have housing, so this seems like a useless event. :/ It's almost like they expected everyone to have housing, somehow, this year and planned the seasonal events for that. ><

Even for indoor items... At least on Balmung (and probably other high pop servers?), any FC that doesn't already have a house (so new ones and those that maybe just didn't have the money at the time) can't get one. Every single plot is full.

So, ok, they want housing to be a system for the elite. Their decision... but seasonal events have, traditionally, been accessible to the masses. I'm of the opinion that should be reflected in the rewards.

I dont feel like elite working for FC because they wanted a house its been a common goal for us and we were happy achieving it. Few people enjoy the decoration (well one single person does our design ^^) and we have people that are into gardening and thru gardening you can easily regain the gil you waste on housing, well in case you have crafters and gatherers in your FC that enjoy the house game.

Im a casual player and I split a mansion cost with 2 other casual players. How exactly are u defining casual? there is a medium between playing 24/7 and playing 5 mins a week xd

Anyways, are you complaining you don't get a free house with the event? Puzzling post indeed xd

Everyone started with about the same amount of gil. Those who were truly interested in a house worked hard and got one, it wasn't handed to us.
