There should be an option to receive tells from friends only. That would stop it for me at least.

Upon reporting the "getting personal" spambot, I had a positive in-game
conversation with a GM. I learned the best way to report spammers. Please allow me
to share this:

Contact Us [tab] --> Report Harassment
You can word the title line as you see fit. Ex: Being harassed by another player.
The body should be structured:

Player Name <- Spammer name.
World Name
Date and Time <-Include time zone
What the player said. <---- Copy paste offender's spam message.

Ex:

Some RMT spam bot owners are injecting victim's names into the spam message.

They're not actually injecting names, rather, they're just using the chat function. Some commands like <r>, and <t> automatically display the name of the person you're replying to and your current target respectively, once the message is sent.

Introduce a legal way to buy Gil.
