Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable idea to me. Wanna see a change.

Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable idea to me. Wanna see a change.
As a Tank who queues for things at times to assist other players (mind you my main is still Nin for raiding), after dealing with a CT tonight and the toxicity that was in it towards me was a bit too much, will be shelving my PLD for use ONLY in my FC now. Being called foul language for forgetting to put on Shield Oath when the DPS pulls Behemoth before ANYONE has buffed up is a little bit extreme. THAT is why people don't play tanks, because of DPS who act like assholes and expect us to just grab hate instantly while they are going balls to the wall and early pulling everything, then are toxic to the tank when that really doesn't work out all that well in their favor.

I think aggro needs to be easier to for tanks (particularly for glads) in the early dungeons. A lot of people are probably really shy about tanking like I used to be because it's a completely new play style and it can feel like everyone is relying on you to hold aggro and know what you're doing. Even though most people actually understand how hard it is to hold aggro for glads in the early dungeons. :P
It's great fun once you get the hang of it, but aggro is so hard for glads at the beginning levels it can feel impossible for a new player with white gear.
I also think SE should make a very basic guide on grabbing and holding aggro in-game for people as well.
Oh and I think it's downright silly that people are overreacting as much as they are about how 'horrible' and 'thankless' it is to tank. A large majority of my runs so far as PLD and MRD have been just fine with minor complaints. Letting a few bad runs completely dictate your decision and opinion on the role is ludicrous. Also, people don't need to be thankful for us simply doing what the job requires. That's like saying people should be utterly thankful for a DPS merely doing a good job DPSing. That's just playing the game.

agreed, as it stands only XM primals and Coil are qualified. Due to these modes being 90% chance of failing in DF these are usually then done with a premade group/static. Thus eliminating the point in the intent of the achievement in the 1st place.
Instead include HM dungeons as well
I'd suggest up the required amount, but make roulette content and low level roulette content available.

It should really be just a reward for tanks who queue by themselves in the DF, regardless of content, because that's the whole point of the reward.
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
― Ernest Hemingway

If I remember correctly; that's what the achievement was originally supposed to be intended for. But instead it only rewards tanks with high ilvl, statics, and large end-game FC's. Square-Enix said they wanted to encourage people to play tanks, but all this does is encourage existing tanks to continue tanking for their static.
I'm no main tank but want bear mount so i ran t4 as War 200 times.at first i have a hard time making decision to start this warbear project since i'm not confidence in my tanking skill AT ALL but after 200 runs i'm getting better and don't fear about tanking anymore.and with my improved tanking skill i can que ex primal as tank since dps que's time is pathetic and i finally got ifrit mount ! Thanks to tank's que time.
Got both the Warbear and Warlion. Not a raider, not in a static, not in a FC. And you don't need high ilvl for Coil 1 Turn 1. Sure by the time you do 200 runs, and venture forth into Coil 2, Extremes and beyond, sure your ilvl will increase. But yeah little solo me, both mounts. Sure at times I would make a friend or two and re-queue up with them, or help someone in the LS I am in.
I can see some abuse if you allowed tanks get the rewards from any solo DF. Obviously they would only queue up for the fastest dungeons. Brayflox HM, Ifrit HM, etc. etc. Queuing up for only those few fast runs won't really help a lot. Perhaps have Extremes, Coils, and add only Roulette. That way you are thrown into whatever dungeon you are needed, and you can't pick and choose the fast runs. Well, some tanks will see a certain dungeon and just immediately quit, take the hit, and leave their party stranded, but eh...
MANTASTIC: I got 1017 problems, but playing FFXIV ain't one.
Llyren: Lala Tanks hit point density levels attract small planets
To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the achievement because it was focused mainly on endgame. It should have been split up with having so many be low level roulette, high level, Trial, and Extreme roulette. That way there would be help across the board instead of just the level 50 dungeons.
