Been quite some time and i see that this topic need some Resurrection . The dev might have kept this topic aside because of the minority players possessing a Large house. I hope the dev team really need to take some serious look over this matter. The amount of time spent to acquire this massive plot is not a joke.
For the loose game mechanism over such time taxing item really needs to be fixed. It's simply unfair. It also applies to the various game mechanism that se charted across eorzea . It makes no sense and were badly decided. As what others has implied, 200 for such a gigantic structure is nut. It should be 300-400 at least.
How long does the dev team plans to ignore on this subject or postpone this.

all homes have too small of a limit.

my med fc is at max, my small personal home is at max.

its annoying to have to always remove an item to add in a new item. fine details can not be added in any home to suit my standards that I can obtain in other mmos

time to remove limits se or at the very least double all of them. limit limit limit seems to be the norm in ffxiv housing

Getting close to half full without really touching the basement or second floor at all. Hilarious joke SE, now give mansions 300 spaces so we can have 100 per floor like any rational person would.

Either that or start condensing a lot of the furniture. The new Retainer Counter, for example, is a Glade Counter, 2 Glade Lamps, an Inkwell and Classified Documents; 5 items condensed into 1. That is brilliant. Now let us take a dinning table and 4 chairs and turn them into 1 thing, or give us longer partitions and pillar-edged partitions to save space indoors.

The only answer we've got so far is this:

Yoshida: There’s an issue where we won’t be able to increase the amount of land if we allocate too much data resources to houses. Our plan is to first add as much land as we can. After this, we’d like players to build a lot of houses and once the needs of the players have been met we would like to increase the amount of items that can be placed. We are placing the highest priority on making it so a lot of players can possess a house, and then we will look into increase the amount of items that can be placed.

Well that made me go; "Didn't they say recently that they feel they've fulfilled the demand for plots? I remember people on overpopulated servers being butt hurt over it...", so I went and looked for that and this seems relevant (sauce) and more recent;

A: We’ve been using all our energy to increase the amount of land, so we haven’t been able to touch this aspect of housing. However, with the new wards that were added, I feel that we’ve just about fulfilled the demands.

We’ll continue to add more land, but we’d like to improve the utility of each house.

However, the team that is in charge of housing, known as the Live Team, is also in charge of Free Company elements and the Gold Saucer, and they’re currently devoting all their energy to Free Company crafting and the Gold Saucer. We expect that they will be able to address this afterwards, but they will need a bit of time.

Has me somewhat hopeful for the next few patches. Gold Saucer next month, and the only Free Company content on the horizon is Housing related, so you'd expect adjustments at the same time, unless they go "herpderp you have the same amount of space for furniture but now you have a crafting basement to furnish too!"... OK I can actually see that happening... 3.2 for the win?

wow a large house is only 200? hell thats about what i want for my small house... i almost got 100/100 down stairs alone and it still feels like it could use more. PLEASE INCREASE SE!!!

If we keep getting new furnishings, can we please get more space? It seems silly to have to remove things already set up for a new piece. Especially considering usually in the large houses one floor is totally empty. Our basement has been empty for over a year now.
