Honestly I think this is the single biggest problem with PvP. Dev team seems to listen to people who don't even attempt to get better or figure out what counters this or that, if ranged are really so pro you should never have a melee, etc. etc. People need to actually get in there and figure out how to win and what to do, instead of complaining that they can't just rush in there and 1-2-3 to victory. There's a lot you can do, and do differently, to affect the flow of battle. But hey, let's just nerf everything without waiting to see if anything is really that overpowered to begin with.

I don't know why the dev team would ever think PvP of this sort would just be something fun to "just get in there" without a care in the world. PvP is stressful (in a good way), and anyone who doesn't want to be stressed or push themselves to do better will always fail in PvP.

On Chaos, I swear.. every moment Adders take the lead.. Mael and Flames team up.

But whenever Flames is ahead.. they still do it. The fear of the forest is real in PvP.

We noticed a strategy they were using and shifted our tactics to counter them by removing all three groups from the middle since they were leaving more people up top instead of going after side nodes, which effectively left the flames vs. adder, afterwards we ran up the adder ramp and proceded to push them into the flames. This had no coordination from the flames and was simply our counter to the adders tactic of overwealming the mountain top which prevented our alliance from getting a foothold after the split. The few nights before we were dominating and were on the receiving end of tactics similar to this, and when slaughter first launched the flames came out of the gates with full force. What a lot of people don't realized unless you're running lots of runs consecutively is that there are a lot of strategies an alliance can apply and see positive results. While this mode has it's fair share of flaws I generally enjoy the gameplay and watching the teamwork and shift in tactics in an entire alliance of non-preformed players.
Yeah, as an Adder on Primal, I'm actually impressed and honored to be part of the reason for people to actually play better lol. What's funny though is that I was in a group last night that utilized a different strategy to work around the team ups... by essentially forcing Flames and Mael to kill each other, and it worked very well lol. That game was a major sweep with a resulting win for us tree huggers. Didn't even have to really worry about the fact we had a ton of melee following the strat we used.

It'll be VERY interesting if the team up becomes normal, followed by our counter for it, to see how Flames and Mael work around that. It may even result in a completely revamped way of playing Slaughter (though I highly doubt that).

Maybe because whenever people see red names, they tend to kill it, since players with red above their heads means enemy by default.

Think about it, if your an adder, what would you hit first, the one with the blue title or the one with the red title. Or of your an IF, the one with the yellow title or the one with the red title.

Lol j/k I'm maelstrom and I get bombarded by so many flame and adder alliances, I'm starting to think the storm hate is color wise and not point wise, cause I see those numbers going up and up on adders and flames don't even try to fight for first, even though they are second place and are just a couple points off from adders. I stopped pvping after that bs-fest.

Also if you field alot of premades that doesn't win you any brownie points. Adders in our group field the most premades and some in the past have taken to the odd taunting. So as soon as the match is to lopsided for flames to win. It is time to help maelstrom. When they have premade 6 ninjas they just kill you and move on.

Your Aether Adders. I believe they even have cross server coordination to try to get premades together. Or it seems that way. You are suffering from your secure days. No advantage to premade if 48 people pick on you. But as others have said, who ever is in first. No point punching tha last place person if you let first place win.

Adders and Mael definitely team up occasionally on Primal against the Immortal Flames, whether that's in secure or in slaughter. In secure I've noted the Adders have a tendency to turn a blind eye to the Manors in favor of hounding us at the Markets far more often, and there have definitely been times in Slaughter where both teams rush us.

I feel like they both see us as "easy pickings" on Primal, but the Flames have clearly shown that we can kick some tree huggers and failstromers to the curb if they annoy us enough.

Yesterday was rather fun working with the rest of Mael trying to develop a counter to what the Adders and Flames were doing, even if it took most of the day. Coordinating the assaults was rather difficult but when they succeeded it was awesome seeing the type of teamwork people could have. Hopefully the 72 man slaughters will develop into something more than mindlessly zerging mid. In either frontlines, grouping up on a single GC is commonplace. In slaughter, we were often forced out of mid since if we stayed the Flames C team would jump up and flank us while the Adders pushed us back to our ramps. In the early stages of pvp, new strategies are going to come and go and at times it will leave a GC in the middle of the other two. It is just part of the game when you have a 1v1v1 scenario. All people can do is adapt to the changing tides of battle.
